51.8 million people in South Africa. Less than 29% have matric and another 16 million or so on some kind of welfare. A guestimate of tax payers would be around 6 - 7 million. So we have less than 10% of the population carrying the rest. Not really much to be proud of.

we are growing bit by bit, but the economy is not growing. did they include the forigners or is it only us the south africans.? and then what about north west, how many xho-sas are there because they work in the mine. how many zu-lus in gauteng because they are driving taxis.

Teachers don't like teaching in rural areas because of the lack of facilities. Many would love to live in the country but trying to teach in a pigpen with no books, no electricity, water or plumbing ..... that isn't a big drawcard

dont be so quick to assume that bra, i have been through hardship, walked my fair share to go to school but still i survived.

the real problem is that the money allocted to education is mostly lost through corruption. Case closed. The ANC realises the only way they will rule til Jesus comes is if they keep the masses uneducated. There is the problem right there. The same thing was happening in the WC until the DA took over from the ANC. Now in such a short space of time look at what miracles the education system in the WC has gone through

@Mgaraji

Look at the map of SA. The W.C is bigger than Limpopo and Mpumalanga, and includes a big part of the Karoo.

How can " deep rural areas" be an excuse ? Thise areas are underdeveloped because those provinces are being run by a bunch of underdeveloped scoundrels, simple as that.

Educationally Limpopo is the Best and all the educated people in Gauteng are from Limpopo. We do not see KZN as they have populated Luthuli House and we think they are educated. Look at the illiterate Showerman, K Khoza, G Mantashe, J Mthembu and all their Secretaries and speak no or less sense. Luthuli House is like KZN Nkandlaville Tribal Extension. Next time they will bring in Khulubuse "Obbesse-Fatboy" Zuma to Luthuli House.

It understandable for Limpopo to have the low rate they dont get books(study naterial) on time. Malema failed woodwork because he did not have a T square it came at the end of the year. How he passed his only subject in UNISA & now he has a degree.

This spells ANC FAILURE!!!!!!! How Shower-head can be proud of himself, I don't know. But what does he care, he doesn't need to learn to read - he just spent R200 million of tax payers money on his house. While people still crap in buckets!! 18 years of democracy! Our dreams have gone down those bucket toilets!
