@lindsay, I would not eat a dog and don't condon eating animals in general, but humans have developed a test for meat and a dog is meat also, I know for a fact that chicken eat everything like pigs do, I've seen a chicken eat makaka, the same chicken next door was on the menu the following Sunday...

@Gotsebamang, exactly, most people were told what to eat and what not to eat, no one has ever questioned this, people were just given this moral view on animals which one are right to eat and which ones should not be eaten, the funny thing is if you look as Asian nations were even rats and insect are consumed they live longer than most nations, why is this, if you go deep into jungles around central Africa, South America and central Asia native people eat all sorts of creatures which a so-called civilised person wont eat and yet those people live longer and they are more resistent to viruses than people living in a civilized world, the civilized world as reduced variety of what can be consumed and digested by the human body, if the body can't digest and find nutrients in a substance then it shouldn't be eaten, but if the body can consume, digest and find nutrients in a substence then why not consume it.

I remember many years ago, we were sitting at the back of the bakkie with canopy. We were selling nama ya pere (horse) then people at Ba-Sothos did not wanna buy it, we suddenly turned the tables around and say it is a cow and it was cheat, that's when people flock there to buy it, since then we never been to that area again.
