A 25-year-old Limpopo man was sentenced to life behind bars by the Mankweng Regional Court on Thursday for raping a child, police said.
“We welcome the sentence and hope it will serve as a deterrent to would-be rapists,” Brigadier Alex Seopa said.
In December 2009, Jonas Ragoloane, from the Kanana district, dragged a 15-year-old girl, who was walking alone, to his house and repeatedly raped her.
She succeeded in alerting her sister, and the crime was reported to the police.

Justice should be consistence with their sentencing. All rapists must be given life sentence.Report Abuse
