@MommaC I can't help but laugh at the irony of your comment, but I get what you mean.

Why is it that when parents murder their children the sentences meted out are usually very short? Is it because the age old threat of "I'm your mother I brought you into this world and I can take you out" is true? I can never understand it, really, parents are the first point of protection for a child and if you as a parent fail in this duty you should rot in jail, but for some reason they get very light sentences.
