Didn't you read or hear that Jujub and his co-accused have been found gulity as charged by the prosecution ? Which means that the charges are no longer allegations, but factual and true as proven by a Presiding Officer empowerd by rules and regulations, and also having received education and training. In essence I wanted to say that Jujub is guilty and he deserve to go to jail where there is a rape. Colonel Polela is 110% correct in his tweeet. South Africa has became an extremely sick country with citizens who vote for mediocre goverment and defending foolishness. The western world in laughing at us. A second tweet followed a while later: “I trust that JubJub’s supporters gave him a jar of Vaseline to take to prison”. Another twitter user asked him: “What's Vaseline for in Prison?,” to which Polela replied, “Polishing specialized prison shoes!”
This Boy must remember that the position he is holding for now needs a cool mannered person, he must stop commenting nonses on the media, he must just concerntrate on his job as a spokes person for the Hawks. He stresses his position as police spokesperson in his profile, so what he says is no longer a personal expression but a statement as spokesman for an organisation. I do think that when you are a person who is in power, you have to be careful of what you say. Zwelitini's comment was completely mangled by the press but it is a case in point. If your king says that violence against someone is right then people think that it is okay. Just like when Zuma said it wasn't right if daughters did not get married and have children. A person in his position should not be promoting sexist views.

Jujub is a criminal who deserves a jail...period.Report Abuse

A second tweet followed a while later: “I trust that JubJub’s supporters gave him a jar of Vaseline to take to prison”. Another twitter user asked him: “What's Vaseline for in Prison?,” to which Polela replied, “Polishing specialized prison shoes!”This Boy must remember that the position he is holding for now needs a cool mannered person, he must stop commenting nonses on the media, he must just concerntrate on his job as a spokes person for the Hawks. He is becoming too big for his shoes now, just because he wrote a book and because he is the spokes person for the Hawks, that does not make him a celebrity and he must shut up.

Vendalious: As you seem to be missing something, may I repeat my comment from earlier: "Freedom of personal expression is fine, but when one "expresses" such crap in the guise of a police spokesperson, than that freedom falls away, as it is no longer a personal expression. I've always been under the impression that philosophers were supposed to think things through thoroughly before making statements. But that aside, in his personal capacity this knuckle is more than welcome to demonstrate his idiocy and lack of moral fibre. The really funny part is that he seems blissfully unaware of the fact that he is making a complete fool of himself in public.Report Abuse

He's a celeb. His answer was that he didn't mean it that way & that he doesn't have time 4 humorless ppl like me.

Mellow: I disagree w.r.t. the freedom of speech excuse. Scroll up and you will see why. He stresses his position as police spokesperson in his profile, so what he says is no longer a personal expression but a statement as spokesman for an organisation. So displaying his personal petty nonsense on such a platform is not only in really bad taste, but completely inappropriate. But as we have seen in recent weeks, being inappropriate and displaying rampant arrogance seems to be his trip. A spoilt, arrogant jerk of the first degree.Report Abuse

MellowI do think that when you are a person who is in power, you have to be careful of what you say. Zwelitini's comment was completely mangled by the press but it is a case in point. If your king says that violence against someone is right then people think that it is okay. Just like when Zuma said it wasn't right if daughters did not get married and have children. A person in his position should not be promoting sexist views.
I was horrified at how Cele handled the Dewani case. What kind of stupid do you have to be to let him go to England before you have even done a preliminary investigation?
