The woman accused of drowning her daughter had her case postponed yesterday for bail application.
She appeared in the Mmabatho Magistrate's Court on charges of murder and attempted murder.
The mother, of Mocoseng village near Mahikeng, has been in police custody since September 24.
She is alleged to have drowned her eight-year-old daughter in the Tontonyane Dam, 5km from her home.
She is believed to have thrown her daughter into the dam first.
She followed suit and was holding her four-year-old daughter when cops arrived.
The case has been postponed to October 24.
