Pretoria is just an extension of Limpopo. Haven't you heard that Limpopo ends in Midrand, so they say.
Nevertheless, Motlanthe is Tswana and Pretoria is dominated by Pedi and Tswana people, of course with a sizeable but insignificant Ndebele majority. It is thus expected that most Gauteng regions will naturally support Motlanthe. He is also GP boy by the way. Zuma will be supported mainly by Ekurhuleni branches which tend to have a sizeable number of Nguni speaking people.
Let's be fair and tell the truth, that is how power is won. It is won largely through racial, religious, ethnic (and language) and regional associations. There will from time to time be exceptions just like in the FS case. But we all know if it was not for Ace Magashule's efforts and the supporters who have remained loyal to him, the FS "Sotho" vote could have easily gone Motlanthe's way. Report Abuse

it is funny cause the bible is against most things that “thing” does but rather you

Oh, you desperate tribalist! Let me give you an update on what is happening in ANC branches. In Limpopo, most branches are going the way of Motlanthe. One must not be misled by Frank Maponya reporting on isolated and obscure branches favouring Jacob Zuma. Jacob Zuma is broadly seen as he really is in Limpopo and people are not confused, except for those who have been given money to campaign on his behalf. How do you explain to young people, women, men that Jacob Zuma is the right person to lead the ANC and the country after all that we have seen in the past three years he has been president. It does not make sense! You can only try that if you ae unemployed and given money by Zuma factionalists.
In the Eastern Cape most branches are going the Motlanthe. OR Tambo is staunchly behind Motlanthe except for some small sub-region whose standing is questionable because its branches cannot quorate. Chris Hani Region, a very small region and the home of Gwede Mantashe backs GM and JZ. But the rest of the regions back Motlanthe. We should not forget that 70% of ANC members are actually in OR Tambo. The REC in Buffalo tried to push for Zuma but dismally failed. At least they will say to Zuma and Mantashe that they tried their best but failed because the people would have none of it.
In Northern Cape, most branches are going the way of Motlanthe.
The same applies to North-West , even where the imposed interim structure of Ngaka Modiri tried to impose Zuma on branches.
Mpumalanga, Freistata and KZN have serious problems because they padded the membership lists to ensure that they send large delegations to Mangaung. But now branch meetings have to be held and they cannot quorate with ghost members. The only way they can fudge the figures is with the co-operation of national, provincial and regional leaders who are administering the process. But otherwise many branches should fail to quorate because there are no people to attend.
Gauteng is going the Motlanthe way except for some branches in eKurhuleni.
Despite the propaganda in the newspapers, ANC Youth League leaders are doing a sterling job on the ground lobbying branches. And their candidate Kgalema Motlanthe is going to win. It is the only oprion that makes sense. We cannot have Zuma continuing with his crises and more of the same. Otherwise there is going to be an African Spring Revolution in this country with youth rising up against government. How do we explain Nkandlagate and all this nonsense around the country to young people? Returning Zuma will trigger a revolution speared by young people. Time for Zuma to go! And those Zuma apologists in the Guptas' newspaper must wake up to reality and not just repsort their own wishes. The same applies to the likes of Karima Brown and Steve Fiedman who will be eating their own words after Mangaung but will be soldiering on like nothing happened. Report Abuse

Most indicators point towards a Zuma victory at this stage. Yes, things may change, but the chances are getting slimmer and slimmer. In addition to FS, KZN and MP, all that JZ needs is 30 to 40% of the EC vote, and a trickle of votes from other provinces to win the race. It should be noted that provinces such as Limpopo, GP, WC et.al. are not as united as KZN, hence JZ will still get a sizeable number of votes from those provinces. Of course the same can be said about FS and MP, and even to a very lesser extent KZN. But Msholozi is almost there. Come end of November, I will start buying champaign, whisky and beers for myself and friends in anticiptation of the mother of all celebrations in mid-December: We will of course be celebrating JZ's victory.

MgwijikhwebuPretoria is just an extension of Limpopo.
But we all know if it was not for Ace Magashule's efforts and the supporters who have remained loyal to him, the FS "Sotho" vote could have easily gone Motlanthe's way.

we should never promote such a brazen racism its very dangerous to our country it assist us with nothing

Explaining how I was raised is rather irrelevant for me to even entertain it. Quoting
a scripture for your purpose is fine, even the Devil can site a scripture for his purposes.
it is funny cause the bible is against most things that “thing” does but rather you
chose the scripture for your own purposes. You are definitely correct about socities
having their way of doing things, but my South African society is against thiefs, fornication,
selfishness, tribalism, racism and incompetence. My society is about earning respect.

Come end of November, I will start buying champaign, whisky and beers for myself and friends in anticiptation of the mother of all celebrations in mid-December: We will of course be celebrating JZ's victory.Bathathe Nxamalala, bathathe Msholozi.
