Mgeez, this is what I talked about yesterday when I commented on the female prisoners going on hunger strike article. Authorities simply do not take violence against women serious enough and some women are driven to murder to escape an abusive partner. Sadly, in my humble opinion, authorities are especially reluctant to act on violence against black women. During my time in prison, I obviously saw many na.ked bodies. I can remember one black women who did not have scars all over her body. She stood out because she was the exception. The rest told hor.ror stories of abuse by partners and indifference by the police when they want to open a case. Report Abuse

Jerico, that is not true. A day is a day in prison. This guy will serve 3 years inside, and then 3 years on parole outside. When you are on parole, you still belong to DCS, and if you scr.ew up, you'll go back to serve the remainder of your sentence. Report Abuse
