I relocated to the Western Cape from the Eastern Cape seven years ago precisely for the above-mentioned. Health services: on the verge of collapse. Education: all but collapsed. The East London Municipality has been without a CFO for a couple of years now and we've had how many Mayors the past few years. Each one gets dismissed and the new one is worse than the one before. Cadre deployment has and never will work. As long as you stick incompetent people in jobs, this is what you will get.

I do not think SA citizens expect to have a better country, I think they are content watching the leadership and their relatives becoming rich, when they make excuses why the rest of the country is not getting to reap the fruits of their freedom. The voters are the ones to blame, they do not set high standards for themselves.
