Even a bus driver has to submit a CV when applying for an employment. But here in this case, the well educated HPCSA personnel overlooked that paragragh on a CV that illustrates the history of employment which brings up the background of the applicant.
Or had bribery passed hands in exchange for our lives?. ( possible in South Africa).

I don't wanna sound Xeno but would advise anyone using public hospitals or clinics to boycott being treated by African foreign nationals now. Ppl's lives are being put into danger by our Government. Ppl must speak out and demand being treated by our local South African doctors. If Europeans esp Brits and Irish do this in their countries then we must follow suite. I have seen older patience in hosp abroad screaming and demanding their own doctors not Africans.

Go to any public office e.g home affairs,you will see how EXTREMELY LAZY and CORRUPT those South Africans who work there are.They will seat there gossiping ,eating and filing their nails while you stand watching helplessly until their royal highnesses decide to attend to you.They will tell you : "Hai wena ,you think you are clever? You gonna stand there the whole day if don't make a plan".Even when i went to certify my vehicle document at a the metro police office ,i had to buy them cold drink because i apparently disturbed them while they were having lunch.Incompetent service is the norm these days in SA that is why SOME foreigners are taking advantage of the situation.

Your comment shows how little you know of Nigeria. You need visit Nigeria and see what it is like instead of listening to gossip.Nigeria has it's inherent problem e.g Government corruption and lack of adequate infrastructure but that is about it.Our people are competent at whatever they do.They are go getters who don't wait for Government hand outs before they feed themselves.

Ask any person in South Africa who has employed a Nigerian , Zimbabwean or Ghanaian how competent they are. Nigeria has a population of 160 million and close to 40% of that are unemployed. Nigerian civil servant don't have the luxury of toyi toying because if they mess up they will be fired and replaced in an instant.

The Nigerian civil servants are more efficient than their SA counterparts because they are actually QUALIFIED for their jobs as there is no BEE in Nigeria.Bribery in the civil service is limited to a few people,it is not rampart like SA's. There are no unions like Cosatu in Nigeria so they don't threaten their employers with violence.They hardly strike and when they do ,they do not DAMAGE public property.Nigerians maybe many things but incompetent is certainly and obviously not one of them.FYI SA corruption level has surpassed Nigeria's since Zuma came to power.The electricity problem in Nigeria has also improved and the major cities are now getting 20 hours minimum of electricity.

You mentioned Boko haram and you just made me laugh. Boko Haram has killed over 1449 people since 2004 when they started their attacks.Their attacks has also been limited to 4 cities in the northern part of Nigeria.South African recorded 15000 plus murders in 2011 alone,now which country do you think is safer??

9ijanavvy, you sound very optimistic dude, true things are improving in Nigeria bit al a very slow pace. I will give thumbs up for your new Abuja city.You are not far from the truth. About corruption in 9ija it is rampant at it's high level, but also sipping through the lower level.in Nigeria's case, so many things have gone wrong that it would take Jesus himself to come down and redeem u guys, same thing applies to us Sans.

So, the fact that things have not been improved for a long time, meant that people who were educated didn't get jobs, but most had to leave for another destination, that's why millions of Nigerians are scattered around the world, we only leave our country in small numbers and majority of ppl that leave are whites.I agree that an average Nigerian won't wait for ur Gov to enjoy amenities.for instance, while Nigerian Govt won't see to giving uninterrupted power,every Nigerian house supplies themselves with that, at the expense of noise pollution.In recent years you guys have experience a scourge of reported hi-jackings and murders in ur country too, you hold each other for large sums of ransoms.
While ur government won't provide good security (because of joblessness, u do have thieves that go about at night - that has reduced too)people have high fences in Nigeria, and some get licenses to own a gun.because government won't provide good potable water all round, Nigerians resort to self help by providing well, bore-holes etc for themselves, in SA it's a diff story. Won't go into details.

As for labour union argument,Nigeria has powerful NLC ,that sometimes hold the government to ransom at times.it is true, it is easier to fire while the law is there to protect employees, an average Nigerian won't do that, as the legal costs won't be affordable to him (and legal aid is not available). hire someone else in Nigeria so everyone does their jobs in the most professional way. We can never compare these 2 countries N9ijanavy.

Most of what you said in your second comment is correct.My gripe with SA is that it is failing intentionally. SA has everything that other African countries will die to have so why are saffers intentionally destroying their own country???

SA should be miles ahead of Nigeria and Ghana but now it is going down because of greed.As an African that makes me sad because i want to be able to boast of African countries progressing.I hope that Saffer choose better leaders in the next election because it will be a sad day for Africa if SA fails.

By the way have you seen the "Eko Atlantic city" being built in Lagos that will rival dubai and doha? There are also some new suburbs being built in eastern Nigerian by some South African property developers abut they are still keeping hush hush.
