Man "confesses" to murder

Oct 9, 2012 | Sapa | 16 comments

He apparently asked the victim to open the gate so he could inspect his work on her roof.

A man allegedly confessed to police that he killed a young Claremont, Cape Town woman.

Moegamat Armien Salie, who had worked on Anzunette du Plessis's roof, admitted to stabbing her several times and slitting her throat on Thursday.

Salie, 31, Warren van Rooyen, 28, and Dudley Boesak, 32, appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate's Court on Monday, where details of the killing emerged. He apparently asked her to open the gate so he could inspect his work on her roof. He allegedly gained access to the house through the roof. Du Plessis hit him before he overpowered her.

The three were arrested when police driving on Racecourse Road in Lansdowne on Thursday afternoon spotted three men pushing a trolley, with a TV and three laptops inside.

According to the report, prosecutor Charlean Olivier-Manuel said the items and their clothing had blood spatters. The men would be back in court on Monday. A fourth person was still on the run.

Another gruesome murder in this nightmare country, in which good law abiding people are being k.illed off like flies by scu.mbags, because our policing and prosecuting is so poor, that criminals know they have a good chance of getting off. The Republic of Nightmares.

@papage
There is absolutely no need to bring race into this. Anyone of any race could have commited that crime and if you want to bring race into this then you'll find that most of our black brothers are the ones committing crime, must that now be a reflection on you as a black person?

Thats why a harshest sentenced possible must be given to drug dealers..Drugs play a major role in violent killings such as this one.
