Its so sad that we as human beings are now classified as "ingredients" by these unscrupulous Sangomas. Its even more painful that the dead are not safe anymore!! I wonder where will we be safe?? I feel sorry for the family the trauma they are going through!!

Those are real characteristics of a Black person, we believe in anything, From the what you call Rev Mbhoro to Zondo, we believe people can make miracles to heal cancer, illnesses and all that, how stupid we have become. Sangomas kill our people for muti, the do all sort of things and we still believe them and on the other side we run to the Minister for prayers. Oh God help us all, we are doomed

I am black and proud but our barbaric and ill informed practices leaves one feeling disgusted. The sober the government deals with these brainless and barbaric acts the better.

This is witchcraft, a sangoma is a diviner that mediates and respects A'Baphantse and know I'sthunzi se Tongo remains with the dead untill such a time it moves on, a true sangoma knows not to disturb abaphantse, Itongo lo mfu is aware. This is Budoo, dark magic, U'buthagathi...

There is no law in south africa, hence outsiders do as they please because justice is very far from our judicial. Really our legal officials are a disgrace in the world.

they shouldnt have bothered the poor family in the first place.
should have just taken the bribe from the bustards and left without the family knowing
now they went all the way, to make the family aware of this
the family was happy thinking that their nightmare is over and the law is on its toes
now the perpetrators are granted bail ????
ALBINO BONES are really working....they are coming back for more

What a frightening poll that almost 30% of Sowetan readers believe in muti! No wonder these charlatans still find people to purchase their snake oil. Do they believe in Santa Claus and the tooth fairy too? And we allow these people to vote on matters of national importance?! Bizarre.

Take heart, It is a senseless poll as 'muti' is everything from herbal tinctures to charms. If I believe that mint tea helps to stop nausea, I essentially believe in muti. Its scary that a black journalist who writes for a paper with a largely black readership doesn't even know the right terminology. Last week body parts were described as herbs!

I wish people would stop believing the nonsense of muthi and body parts........... albinos are also people, the difference is the pigmentation/melanin.

In Tanzania, albinos are "hunted" like animals...........................

welcome to South Africa, Mzansi baba......really strange, because they were caught red handed and evidence was there, but what does the court do? dismises all that and gives them bail to go and hopefully dig up more graves and who knows, they might even kill someone this time just to get the body parts
