seutullamakunutu: Sorry but I don't really understand what you are asking.
The ANC was not equipped for restructuring the country and fixing the wrongs without creating more hurdles. I have been watching how they work and how they deal with issues. The first mistake they did was to build people half brown bread houses, the second mistake was to give tenders to build these pathetic houses instead of living the respective municipalities build these house, which was going to make the local govt an employer of most people who were to occupy these houses and pay for some of the service, third was to not to monitor and inspect the houses been built from the digging of the foundation up to the laying of the concrete for foundation. The ANC has never shown any interest of uprooting corruption, since day one, I have never seen any program put by the Hon. Fmr President of the Republic Tat' uMadiba to deal with corruption. The BEE has been benefiting the ANC since day one that is why today we have Ramaphosa purchasing
if Motlanthe wants to make a meaning change to delivery then he will have a tough time, as he will need to root out the basics of this service delivery program by overhauling the whole system. He will first return to basics, local government need to be the builder of any local programs, no more tenders, education dept will have to handle on its own the book/ stationery and no more tenders.
Secondly the voting system of SA should be reformed, we need to be able to elect on people to represent us in parliament directly and they have to report back once a year to their constituency, that will then ease so many service delivery protest.
Last but not least, he need to get rid of the provincial government, the local and the national government is will be enough, our tax is paying for extra mouths rather than extra pair of hands.
These will be just a fewer things that would make a progress, then immigration, integration of the nation, kings and chiefs will have to be paid by those who benefit from their roles not all of us, in this manner we will not only be traveling on a better path to progress but we will reduce the government spendings on useless things.
Is Motlanthe ready for such task? If not we will be back to square one, his deputy will also write a biography on how they are disappointed with abc.

South Africa does not need Motlanthe as a president, The ANC is in turmoil itself and with corruption, cadre deployment of those without qualifications in Government, Motlanthe is the last choice, because if he feels the ANC desciplinary process was wrong to expel Malema, he's a hypocrete because he does not fully subscribe to the ANC's policies and he'll continue to devide the movement further, ANC needs a Mugabe type, especially 15 years into so called democracy, which still favours the minority over the majority, South Africa needs a President who'll be hard on curruption and fraud on state resources at the same time make hush decisions to transfer wealth of the country to all, to prevent Marikana and other Mines' explotations by former Colonial Country's Companies, and I insist, Motlanthe is not the ideal candidate, ANC deligates must vote with sober minds than emotions in Mangaung Report Abuse

Whatever that is it has nothing with making the lives of South Africans better nor does it have something to do with making our country more reliable, all the leaders that the ANC produced did not have a foresight for the future of this country, their focus was only on getting equal rights, after that they all did not have a clue. Just give you an example, when the world recession started they failed to position themselves and dominate the African economy, instead they went to China with a pathetic basket and lamented the falling trade with Europe, I do not mean that they were not suppose to deal with China, but they needed to exploit the situation and dominate the continent economically. They could even see the danger of not extending the capacity of our power grid even when they were warned 10 years earlier, they were consumed with army's deal kickbacks. These guys are still in kindergarten when it comes to running the economy of the country successful Report Abuse

malemaphobia is the downfall of South Africa. never again do we engage meaningfully and reasonably so long as the name malema is mentioned. the most scary aspect is that those that claim to know it all are all falling prey of this virus hence no one makes sense anymore. Report Abuse
E'free - I would tend to agree with you, although perhaps I would not use the word "coward". He is an astute politician, and like all politicians he hedges his bets. Right now, Malema appears to be the Nemesis of JZ, so it makes political sense to appear to support him. Please note, I very deliberately use the word "appears". This IN NO WAY suggests any kind of moral or ethical superiority whatsoever, and as I suggested, it makes him rather suspect in my books. Having said that, most of the people in our current political arena (and I include ALL parties) are just as suspect. In our particular model of democracy, professional politicians are almost by definition suspect, as failure in the polls leads to the loss of extremely lucrative jobs. So when push comes to shove and backs are against the wall, any one of them will do whatever it takes to win popularity. We live in the playing fields of serious opportunists. So my approach is to opt for the best of a bad lot. Report Abuse

motlanthe is just another unprincipled opportunity of whom they are many in the ANC's NEC. if he agrees to be stand against zuma (another unprincipled so-called leader) in mangaung and win, would he follow the resolutions of conference to the letter or will he implement the ANCYL's so-called economic ideas. i long lost respect for him. occassionaly he'd make a good speech assessing the ANC's failures but proves unable to influence the party in the new direction.
malema has been dissmissed by his party. as a democrat, he should follow the majority's decision. he's private feelings are insignificant. is there any record that he voiced his misgivings regarding the charging and dissmisal of malema? malema and is gang budged into an office where the top officials of the ANC were meeting and demanded audience. did he agree with this? the charges were brought to the DC by the 6 officials, why didnt he asked to be removed as a complainant? when exactly does he feel that the sanction of dismissal should be imposed? because if members know that it's not going to be implemented then it ceases to act as a detterent, its useless to kept in the constitution? what does he understand by the YL's call for 'economic freedom in our lifetime'? does he agree with them? if not why doesnt he say so now, before mangaung? is he afraid he'll lose credibility? motlanthe's highest formal qualification is matric, there's no evidennce whatsoever that beyond understanding the global economic issues affecting us, he also has an ability to craft and implement policies which will stem the tide of INCREASING unemployment, poor education outcome and generally poor governance experienced in almoast every sector of public life, he's been the 2nd most powerfull man in SA politics, by the way. Di Winner, right now the ANC and the DA are having the same policies on the economy the difference is the the DA is lead by white and the ANC is lead by blacks, the ANC has failed to deal with corruption, and is leading this country down the drain, we have not seen the DA's scale of corruption on national government but going by the way it runs the Western Cape, it does far much better than the ANC. I am not going to vote for the enrichment of the few selfish corrupt people just because the DA happens to be lead by a white woman who once exposed the brutality of the government that its party is is alligned with the ANC and their leadership is enjoying the previlage of been in high position.
I am a consumer and if Pick n Pay has a special even it is less by 15c compared to Shoprite I am going to get that special unless Shoprite gives me a better offer.
For now a party of my political choice is not yet born, that is a Labour Party which is pro-free market just like the one in Germany, Britian, Australia, Norway and Greenland, not a an antique of communism. I have lived in the UK and I know the difference between what we have and what we still need to have. Until then I am not a supporter of the two parties but any party that seem to be doing bad at that time is not going to get my vote, even the DA is not guaranteed my continuous vote, I am a swing voter aint going to be held at ransom by my skiing again that because I am blac I should vote for the destruction of my beloved country , last was held at ransom that because I am black I should not vote, now I am held at ransom to only vote black whether there is progress or not. That is not happening, mthe ANC, AZAPO, SANCO,BCP,BCMA,PAC, WORKERS, and the vast community of our people fought for a democracy not a coloucrasy, that because I am black I should get stuck with a black party and whites should get stuck with a white party, that is not democracy, mnot even one day did the ANC when it was in exile said that it was fighting for it to rule the country, it said it was fighting for democracy and freedom, so do not ask me a pseudo-racist question Report Abuse

You guys are so bias, when was any oppossition party ever a governing party and showed us that as a ruling party they did not know what hey are doing, you just in a comfort zone, because the ANC for 18 years did not know what it was doing so everyone even the ones you deny the chance at least only one term and see what they are made of you judge them by the failures of the ANC. The ANC does not know what it is doing, it build half-brown valueless houses, if it knew what it was doing it was going to put value to those houses by giving title deeds to its occupiers , then the value of the half-brown would be much better. It introduced an education system that Hector Petersen would not believe if he was alive. Original Bad Education. It failed to deliver boor to the children of Limpompo and it releases connected crooks out of jail and the connected are untouchables Zuma's nephew and Mandela ' s grand son destroyed the Aurora mines and the people who relied on them, I mean the whole chain of economic businesses that was connected to the Aurora mines and the workers. The government did not care , MUN did not care ANCYL did not care COSATU did not care ANCWL did not care ANC did not care ,ANC supporters did not care Malema did not care , Nzimande did not care ,Motlanthe , Zuma, Tokyo, Ramaphosa and all that junk that want to continue have my country as their farm did not care.
I will tel you about the bantustant rule that I detested run by two people I detested, Mangosuthu and Mangope, hey ! These two puppets did deliver, their nurses were happy, streets were cleaned, clinics had medication even in rural areas, sies ANC e thlolwa kedi puppets, those puppets did well on delivery and discipline when it came to finance, I am not saying I want apartheid back you lot you will start saying but I am saying the ANC cannot govern well and the opposition cannot be judged without been given a chance, it can surprise you as he puppets did. Holomisa when he took the bantustant by a coup he made big changes from the mess created by the Matanzimas. This in short says, you cannot conclude that a person cannot govern just because you do not want to them a chance, it's Americans who I ca understand saying that because the oppossition was more than once a government. That is an ANC influecend pre-conceived idea, you have no proof on than so it is irrelevant and unscientific . Report Abuse

Politics always play closed cards. Mr Motlanthe knows that bad things always have good side. Guys you can agree with me that before JUJU VS JZ drama it started internally and they are the only ones who knows where this whole things have started. Rena re botsiwa feela tsa ka ntle ga seatla, lets not blame Motlanthe he knows what he is doing.

These guys are still in kindergarten when it comes to running the economy of the country successful

So my approach is to opt for the best of a bad lot.Report Abuse

motlanthe is just another unprincipled opportunity of whom they are many in the ANC's NEC. if he agrees to be stand against zuma (another unprincipled so-called leader) in mangaung and win, would he follow the resolutions of conference to the letter or will he implement the ANCYL's so-called economic ideas. i long lost respect for him. occassionaly he'd make a good speech assessing the ANC's failures but proves unable to influence the party in the new direction.malema has been dissmissed by his party. as a democrat, he should follow the majority's decision. he's private feelings are insignificant. is there any record that he voiced his misgivings regarding the charging and dissmisal of malema? malema and is gang budged into an office where the top officials of the ANC were meeting and demanded audience. did he agree with this? the charges were brought to the DC by the 6 officials, why didnt he asked to be removed as a complainant? when exactly does he feel that the sanction of dismissal should be imposed? because if members know that it's not going to be implemented then it ceases to act as a detterent, its useless to kept in the constitution? what does he understand by the YL's call for 'economic freedom in our lifetime'? does he agree with them? if not why doesnt he say so now, before mangaung? is he afraid he'll lose credibility? motlanthe's highest formal qualification is matric, there's no evidennce whatsoever that beyond understanding the global economic issues affecting us, he also has an ability to craft and implement policies which will stem the tide of INCREASING unemployment, poor education outcome and generally poor governance experienced in almoast every sector of public life, he's been the 2nd most powerfull man in SA politics, by the way.

Motlanthe is utter scared of Julius Malema thats all. Malema undermined the whole country the way he was talking to people it was as if he owned us, so whatever happened to him he deserves it.Motlanthe does not convince me to take the job, he has shown before that he is too weak, we have serious problems and the first big serious problem is the abuse of our children and we need people like Cele.
Motlanthe is just playing a card of "its my turn now", I wonder if ANC led government takes everything serious.

i cant understand why a sanction of dissmissal won't be appropriate for someone who deliberately disobeys an party instruction (similar to the charge of insurbodination in a workplace). malema was SPECIFICALLY instructed not to publicly criticise the leadership of his party. he did just that. why must he not be dissmissed? is it because he did not criticise motlanthe?

@ CumFasti'd agree with you if the equation was that simple. but it's not. zuma is not a strong leader. motlanthe is worse. he's indicisive, impressionable, prevaricating, too ponderous and too deliberate. we dont need an 'intellectual' (even though he's got to be smart) or an analyst, we need someone who can think big and act boldly, who doesnt owe anyone any favour. think about malema and his gang! who'll not doubt press for the reversal of their sanctions before they are served up. think of the chaos these one's would bring - interfering in the country's judicial system - yes malema said after motlanthe is elected, they'd call for the re-instatement of zuma charges and his prosecution! do you think zuma allies (who populate all organs of state) would take this lying down? without commenting on zuma's crimminal charges, this would bring the country into a deeper crisis than it currently is in now.

That is not happening, mthe ANC, AZAPO, SANCO,BCP,BCMA,PAC, WORKERS, and the vast community of our people fought for a democracy not a coloucrasy, that because I am black I should get stuck with a black party and whites should get stuck with a white party, that is not democracy, mnot even one day did the ANC when it was in exile said that it was fighting for it to rule the country, it said it was fighting for democracy and freedom, so do not ask me a pseudo-racist question

DJ WinnerYou guys are so bias, when was any oppossition party ever a governing party and showed us that as a ruling party they did not know what hey are doing, you just in a comfort zone, because the ANC for 18 years did not know what it was doing so everyone even the ones you deny the chance at least only one term and see what they are made of you judge them by the failures of the ANC.
