Snakes 'live' in state building - Claim

Oct 1, 2012 | Pertunia Ratsatsi | 40 comments

On an ordinary day no one would expect to see a 2.25- metre python in the Pretoria CBD - so members of the public and Department of Labour employees were amazed to find two dangerous reptiles in their midst last week.

You are the man Van Rooyen IF you killed the snakes. Some conservationists (MommaC included) would have been mad at you.

"Department of Labour spokesman Mishack Magakwane dismissed Van Rooyen's claims. "
LOL. You are probably right Mr Magakwane.

I use to tell people never say never.I remember a story somewhere in 2009 whereby people were on picnic around one of the swimming-pool(which was declared danger-free) in PTA when suddenly one of the visitors saw a crocodile crawling towards the pool with people inside.People were terrified to death that day but no-one was injured or attacked whatsoever by the crocodile.

2 snakes fallen from the roof of Department of labour:
The employees are so lazy and half asleep all the time so much that they would have felt nothing even if the snakes bit them.

>>Van Rooyen said he had worked at a snake park in KwaZulu-Natal and knew how to kill a snake.<<

What an idiot!!
If he's worked in a snake park he should know pythons are a protected species and essentially harmless if you stay out of their way. (They don't bite, they crush their prey)
If the snake(s) were in fact in the building they were probably keep down the rat population
Since when do snake parks teach staff or anyone else how to kill a snake?
The man is talking BS and looking for attention!

Kakkakakkakkakakakkakaka moshana enwa o leshano maan, Van Rooyen says he can k*ll the snakes but ran for his life at the first place, he was throwing the stones 10metre from the snake. LOL

Van Rooyen is a big fat liar,he just wanted name for himself, he just found the snake dead. I mean one minute he is running for his life, and another he was a professional who worked at the snake park before.

By the way this story is not interesting, interesting stories please.

if he had really worked at a snake park, he would know that the python is a protected species. It is also not dangerous. Mullet. At 4am, even the rinkals wouldn't have been warm enough to be dangerous. No wonder he is a parking attendant.

So what. All state buildings are occupied by snakes, but unfortunately we are not allowed to ki.ll them. We have to wait for justice to take its course.

People buy cute little snakes, then when they get too big, they just let them go, happens everywhere. In the Florida Everglades, it's an epidemic with snakes attacking alligators......
People should be educzted, without snakes we'd all have bubonic plague.
