A Nigerian woman was rescued from a brothel in central Cape Town, Western Cape police said.
Captain Frederick van Wyk said detectives launched a sting operation at an alleged brothel on Bree Street on Thursday night, where they found the woman being kept against her will.
He said two women in their twenties were arrested, one for prostitution and the other for operating a brothel.
They would appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Monday.

We really do have to consider legalising prostitution so that there is some way of preventing this. I'm sure the NGOs will be more than happy to do the monitoring and enforcement of laws and make sure that this despicable slavery is done away withReport Abuse

Who owns these devil fuelled places? Why are we not petrol bombing these places, these places need to be demolished because they potray the morals of south africans as lower than low. Oh yes why is government not sending police to close these places? Unfortunately they put a bad stigma on black south african people, and if these places are operated by foreigners tax man need to go these places and they need to be demolished.
Why is government quiet whereas there is so much abuse in south africa especially to women and children. Umthetho mawubuye eMzantsi
Can someone let us know where we can put a complaint about these places and people, please help we need to put pressure on these places.
