THE case against the Goodman Gallery security guard accused of assaulting a man who defaced The Spear painting was postponed in the Hillbrow Magistrate's Court after his lawyer said he had not yet received "copies of either the docket or the video footage".
Paul Molesiwa is accused of assaulting Louis Mabokela at the gallery on May 22 after Mabokela allegedly defaced painting depicting President Jacob Zuma with exposed genitals.
Molesiwa, from the Core Tactical private security company, was filmed by an e.tv cameraman trying to restrain Mabokela and flipping him to the ground in the process.
Prosecutor Molepo Tema said he had not yet received a written request, but Molesiwa's lawyer disagreed.
Magistrate Nsizwa Shabangu postponed the case to November 1.
