Rest in Peace my sister , besides being denied treatment , death is death regardless how it happens , its going to happen to all of us , one day we will all die regardless of treatment or no treatment , we must accept death as a natural thing which no human can prevent , but prolong the suffering before death Report Abuse

This is another waste of money. I don’t know why don’t we pay or rather invest directly with the hospitals so when one is sick, one can just walk into the hospital and be treated without any delays
Besides, it will be cheaper even because the Hospital will have your medical record which will allow them to at least put a ceiling amount on your investment, rather than having to pay these medical aid vampires for eternity and still not get approvals for your treatment.
These medical schemes are a useful jar only to the investors

This is typical of medical aids. You pay through your nose for it yet when you really need it, it fails you. I am so sad for this lady's children who are now sitting without a Mother. I also feel for the millions of people who do not have access to medical aids..these days, you are more likely to get worse if you go to rural clinics and public/provincial hospitals. Report Abuse

That medical aid should be charged with culpable homocide. Every medication is deterent of death but eventually a person will die.
I can write a book about gems rubbish. i have a chronic case of high blood pressure which led me to give birth prematurely in 2008. my gynae gave me a stronger medication to minimise impact to my child which costed R6000. bloody gems refused to pay saying it's expensive. but when they charge R2500 every month on my account they don't consider that expensive for me? useless medical aid. their chronic meds panel is just useless people who've never been ill and have no clue what it feels like to really need life saving medication.
RIP Mama, really when death had paid a visit - no human or medication can stop it. yes, the medication prolongs life but maybe God has other plans from the beginning. may your soul forgive gems and your children too. Report Abuse
