A LIMPOPO woman accused of abandoning her five-month-old baby was released on a warning by the Mankweng Magistrate's Court.
The case against Eunice Manaka, 28, was postponed to October 2, said Constable Moses Molepo.
Patrolling police found the baby on the side of a road on Saturday night.
A tip-off led to the arrest of Manaka, who confessed to dumping the baby boy, Molepo said.
The child was being kept at a place of safety.

The government needs to make communities aware that facilities are available to take in unwanted children. They also need to arrest the kids father - why should the women only be prosecuted.Report Abuse

Pointman- Spot on Bruv. I am also grateful the poor child did not die of cold or being run over by a drink-driver. But lets not forget the economic hardships facing single mothers in SA, driving them to these extremesReport Abuse
