Malema is expected to appear in court in Pretoria or Polokwane next week on charges of money laundering, corruption and fraud.
The case relates to his Ratanang Family Trust and its shareholding in On-Point Engineering, a company that has made millions from Limpopo government tenders.
I have a problem with corruption as it robs us all and costs all of us in the long run. if they know Malema and have been given tenders based on the merit of their tender and nothing else no problem from me. But it comes out so often that tenders are going to the same people who know JM or related to him. We all know that Limpopo is not the best run province in the country and the fact that they are placed under admin by national government speaks volumes for the way the premier is running things there. Check out their w e b s i t e and you will see. The fact that the WC keeps getting clean audits and can account for their budgets being spent and that they arent involved, whether they arent or havent be caught yet that is, in any corruption is testimony to the fact they must have a plan. It may not be perfect but they also have to deal with the anc who dont turn up to meetings to finalise decisions and plans, ancyl threatening to make the WC ungovernable, anc officials causing problems in rural areas and the list goes on. I have a problem with corruption as it robs us all and costs all of us in the long run. if they know Malema and have been given tenders based on the merit of their tender and nothing else no problem from me. But it comes out so often that tenders are going to the same people who know JM or related to him. We all know that Limpopo is not the best run province in the country and the fact that they are placed under admin by national government speaks volumes for the way the premier is running things there. You also have JM denying having benefitted from any tenders yet it has come out that he owns/is a director of many companies that have benefitted form tenders. again the maths formula seems to be Tender + Limpopo + JM = corruption!

The issue usually is that bcos they are connected t JM their bids are inflated and therefore cost the taxpayers more than they should. Whether the service is provided is at the required level or not is irrelevant. the fact that it was awarded illegally and more expensive to the taxpayeris the real issue. Premiers and officials should not be rewarded for awarding tenders. their job is to ensure the smooth running of their departments and provinces and that they are above board. Check out their w e b s i t e and you will see. The fact that the WC keeps getting clean audits and can account for their budgets being spent and that they arent involved, whether they arent or havent be caught yet that is, in any corruption is testimony to the fact they must have a plan. It may not be perfect but they also have to deal with the anc who dont turn up to meetings to finalise decisions and plans, ancyl threatening to make the WC ungovernable, anc officials causing problems in rural areas and the list goes on. The issue usually is that bcos they are connected t JM their bids are inflated and therefore cost the taxpayers more than they should. Whether the service is provided is at the required level or not is irrelevant. the fact that it was awarded illegally and more expensive to the taxpayeris the real issue. Premiers and officials should not be rewarded for awarding tenders. their job is to ensure the smooth running of their departments and provinces and that they are above board. We all know this is not the case in Limpopo

Justice will be served. That is what will happen. HOPEFULLY, Julius will roll state witness, and give out big names in the process. And OF COURSE, this will help fight corruption in the long run. Arresting a corruption syndicate, will fight corruption in the long run.
