Last nite Miners had their supper @ the Gift of the Givers Kitchen soup and Malema had his @ his home and downed with a Champagne.

Lazy journalism and sensationalist reporting are always going to be with us unfortunately.

What we would all like is a govt that has a vision for this country. One that incorporates the needs and ambitions of all who live here and of course, strong enough to ensure the vision becomes a reality.

Big Shots in politics own shares in the mines, It means only few individuals benefit from the country's minerals. Miners paid peanuts.
I dont know Malema's motives but thanx for the eye opening issues that our government choose to turn a blind eye on them

Ok, Sowetan feed us this information, and we all go on it... But how true is it? where is the reference of what's writen here, how do we proof this, how do we know that it wasn't fabricated? manipulated from the events that took place?

This sounds like we are been told a story and the way it was writen I feel a strong element that we should belive it..

I think we should use our minds the most not our feelings, and question the perception in which the Writer wrote this....

StaHorse: With respect, some actually read other sources as well. This is simply a convenient comment platform. I fully agree that the quality of journalism here, in terms of acknowledging sources, and even in terms of accuracy is shocking. This morning the heading of the piece on Ramphele used the word "can" instead of "can't" - which is the direct opposite, although once this was pointed out to them by email they did correct it.

Sowetan journalists should know better. There were not 2000 people but 15 000 miners who came to listen to Julius. Gwede Mantashe and Jackson Mthembu are eating their own words now. They thought by expelling Julius they were declaring him a political nonetity. People cannot be fooled. They themselves do not even make the headlines now.

Anyone who is thinking of ending this boy's life must be crazy and is playing with fire. We said it before that all these Zuma factionalists will be on the backfoot all the way to Mangaung. Not to mention Blade Nzimande who has been telling the SABC not to cover Julius Malema. By the time we reach Mangaung, the old man, Jacob Zuma will be so riled and tired that he does not even want to contest the presidency of the ANC. And then there are embedded journalists and analysts who have been trying to influence things in Jacob Zuma's favour. Analysts like Steve Friedman who cannot see that Zuma factionalists are finished, are just deliberately misleading the public. No sound business person should even rely on their flawed analysis and fuzzy logic.

pliz Sowetan get your facts straight before Malema sues you lot for defaming and spreading malicious lies about him.

Malema is not causing mines unrest the unrest was there long before Malema came along, Malema is only filling in the leadership void left by the union leaders, the mine bosses and the government, due to their inability to recognise seriousness of the situation or maybe they have no vision or plan to effectively concl amicable the fight btwn the haves and the have nots.

I am not Malema's fan nor am I anc supporter, but TRUTH MUST ALWAYS TRIUMPH above sensationalised and blameful news, SOwetan you are tabloid I wish Malema would consult his laws and sue you lot for deliberately mus-qoating him just to advance your baseless, thoughtless reporting.

Also before you continue with publishing sensationalised report, please note that on the CNN tape Malema didsn't chant 'kill the b0er' but 'kiss the b0er' please listen hard at the tape and report factually, otherwise the anc must forge ahead with media regulation, since you are not able to behave in a professional manner.

Malema might be bitter but he is relevant, my fada was a miner as well he came back home sick with nothing to show for his troubles under ground. Was it because he was not eductated? I dont doubt his money management skills at all, he made it a point that we were all dressed up, eaten every and carried atleast R1 day (four of us). Unfortunately he was slaved to grow up his children. You cannot explain the R4800 a month in the current situation for the miners, thats a pathetic wage, isnt because of so called cheap labour? In europe a miner earns in between R10 000 and R15000 why should we agree to this pathetic salary. Who ever is talking about economy does not understand the harshness of the economy currently to this people. They dont stay at home probaly feeding a lot of people, they pay rent, transport and buy two sets of groceries for home in and here for himself. He uses parafin (How expensive). So you saying the economy will trebble if he gets a better salary "pathecic you", yes it will trebble for the elite but most people will be able to afford and the level of porverty will be reduced overtime because, this people will send their children to accademic instituions.
