A FAMILY of eight has accused Mpumalanga Premier David Mabuza of breaking his promise to build a house for them after theirs collapsed during heavy rains earlier this year.
Mahlakoana, who had found a job as a long-distance taxi driver, said he was forced to quit his job because he was concerned about his family's safety.
=======================================
you quit??? haibo!!!!!, like I said and I will say it again, fathers and mothers stop making babies if you know you can’t afford, I know government is doing so little but if we can try to meet Gov. halfway by trying birth control ,just imagine 17 years old sleeping with your father ???? @golly459. The premier should not have promised a house to this family. Rural blacks are very resourceful but this goverment's need to control everything is making them lazy and disempowering them at the same time.
They could have just donated material and let him find builders and manage them on his own. Then he would have more control over the building of his house.
But I agree with u on him quitting his job. Report Abuse

"Million Mahlakoana, a father of six from Matibidi near Graskop, said his three-roomed mud house collapsed during heavy rains in January this year" - it reminds me of that story last year when a certain province built houses, people refused to move in them if there was no furniture............
I know Mabuza promised them a house, and he didnt deliver, but hell maan, why do we always think government owes us something, if you have kids, get up and go work to provide for them, if it means being away for 3 months, DO IT Report Abuse

It looks that way to me too hey, they want a house, he quit his job to stay home and look after them, what is that?..This days looking after your family is getting your ass up and go work for them.....What pisses me off is that we keep having s#x and making more kids knowing very well that WE CAN'T AFFORD THEM....Yes, our government fumbles all the time but the question is "WHAT CAN WE DO TO LESSEN THE FUMBLE-BLOW ON OUR LIVES?"...
