People who make the news are being invited to answer critical questions affecting our lives. Our first guest is Cosatu's Zwelinzima Vavi - and you are welcome to hear from him first-hand... WE ARE THE PEOPLE'S PAPER... SO ENTRANCE IS ABSOLUTELY FREE
my first question to Zwelinzima Vavi would be this.
taking into account for over 18 years people are poorer than before and education is in a worse state than apartheid, what is the relevance of this so called alliance in this era, taking into account the above FACTS?
For over 18 years the ruling party has been given the oppotunity to make a meaningful and visible difference in changing the lives of poor blacks and has failed dismally. What now? I this the alliance must be dismantled and people vote directly for the country's president..
So we supposed to ask questions and they answer and then what? What's gonna happen after that? Just a waste of time and energy if you ask me besides Metrofm is already conducting such dialogues and you dont have to drive there you just have to dial-in and voila ask away Report Abuse

My question would be related to what cheeseboy is saying, how can COSATU strike a balance with being an alliance to the ruling party and also be a watchdog? this surely is the root of many ills e.g the Lonmin massacre.
We all know that most of these so called politicians have shares in the mines. Vavi never reprimanded the issue. Report Abuse

Wouldn't make any difference what was asked. Vavi would just waffle on and not give an answer anyhow or he will start throwing around communist words until we were all so confused we didn't remember what the question was to start with Report Abuse

One will be forgiven if he/she thinks that sowetan is campaigning for Vavi in the Media for the next Cosatu Congress. M&G did the same on Friday. I don't mind though, I trust his principles. Report Abuse

You are kindly requested to interview his exellency the honorable Sello Julius Malema on issues ranging from his expulsion, political view with regard to the state of the ANC to date, what is his role as SAn citizen...etc
Your cooperation in this regard will be highly appreciated

Personally when I vote for a Party it base on policies, and the manifesto. It never about the face of a leader incharge then. That why it easy to understand Vavi if he says, vote ANC.

Most politicians lie through their teeth and people like or vote for the ones whose lies they like the most.
An example was zuma who promised to create millions of jobs !
You stupid idiots believed him and voted for him ! It is now the end of his term, but he did not keep his promise.
anc politicians are masters at telling lies for votes and you suckers believe them every time.
You make it so easy for them.....they do not perform and do not keep their promises and you keep on voting for them like idiots ! Report Abuse
