A young buffalo bull has been auctioned for the record amount of R26 million at an auction in Bela-Bela, according to a report.

can you milk buffalo? Do they sell buffalo milk? a true man will buy cows and goats and keep them in his kraal, I have never heard of wild animal bought for fun by an african man, mhhh westernised????

@sowetan this story is interesting, who first owned this WILD ANIMAL ? Because buffalo is a wild animal and nobody owns these animals, so how did the first owner get hold of this animal because buffalo are never domestic animals and are born to roam the fields? What does SPCA say about this?

We need to be careful people are going to make giraffes horses or a mode of transport like camels

Wild animals are bred at game ranges. We don't have open areas where they can migrate through anymore. Instead we have pockets of land where game is kept in order to promote tourism as well as to keep our animal heritage intact. Now I'm not sure if you know what the pitfalls of inbreeding are but bringing in a new genetic sire into the herd is a good idea if you want the herd to prosper. THAT is why they buy and sell animals.

You right, i dont see any use of having this kind of animal xcpt for feeding your tummy purpose. He/She will be cryng foul when Rhino poachers snap it soon, they are watching with predator eye. Watch the Space!!!!!
