Wow. So they know that a crime will be commited, and yet they will do nothing until 10111 is called, but we all know that it takes 50 years for the operator to answer giving criminals enough time to bribe police officers....the life of criminals is too sweet in sa. Report Abuse

We aren't asking you to scrutinise every single party where a teen is, but when you have an invitation which specifically indicates that the LAW will be broken, don't you think it may be a good idea to at least check it out? Blerry mullet! Report Abuse

to some extend i agree with Mdunge, if you allow your 14 year to be aout at night while you sleep peacefull in your house as if nothing is happening, why expect the police to go chasing after your child and tell them what not to do.If you want police scrutinise the party why not come along as a parent.......if you have ernegy to make babies, have ernegy to parent them too and leave poor police man alone, they also have their own demons to deal with in their households Report Abuse

"The police will do as much as they can when a crime is committed at these parties but it is up to parents to keep their children away from these parties," Mdunge said.
mdunge get that head out of the sand, police r there to prevent crime from happening not to deal with the aftermath, crime prevention is their main mandate, the saying is "prevention is better than cure" and we talking teenager here the future of sa, u cannot just sit back and wait for the complains to start flooding in, send a van to these parties, police visibility will at most send all the gruggist to another party while our innocent kids(of legal age) can get to party in peace Report Abuse

Really? I have hosted one of these parties in Pinetown and I can tell you that at every party there are drugs and alcohol... We all consumed a bit of weed and drink when we were kids it's part of rebelling man. Yes some of these parties get out of hand, but if you monitor it well enough the kids can have a jol without incident. Its not all that bad as they make it out. Report Abuse

Deviants? haha it's really not all that bad. I hosted one for my 14 year old sister and yes there was booze and some weed, but we took everyone who had a car's keys and everyone slept over and we kept it as safe as we can without seeming that we are square. It comes down to being able to spot when things get out of hand and those who did we took home. Some of these parties do get way out of hand, but we had well over 300 people at her party and it went well. Camped out and all. Report Abuse

@Cocolucho it is clear you have not called 1011...Those guys answer immediately, I think they are one of the most efficient police unit, I was hijacked and they were excellent, they even connected me to my tracking company.
The police must raid this party we don't want reactive police, why must people die or be drugged before action is taken, by raiding it they make their job easier in the long run. Report Abuse
