To all those who wish the King dead and saying Swaziland depends on S.A. and all that. Look South Africa wouldn't be where it is today if it wasn't for neighboring sates including Swaziland who's late King Sobhuza II even funded the ANC. On September 20 2008, four freedom fighters, Amos Mbedzi (South African), Jack Govender (South African), a third unnamed cadre from Soweto in South Africa ( unnamed because he escaped after the premature blast) and Swazi lawyer Musa Dlamini were already at the Lozitha Bridge about to place an explosive device when it prematurely went off, thereby injuring Amos Mbedzi and killing both Jack Govender and Musa Dlamini (they were the ones handling the device). The unnamed young cadre managed to leave Swasziland and he is now safely at home. Jack's remains were buried in Durban, Musa's in Swaziland.

The Swazi authorities knew that charging Mbedzi with attempting to murder the King will provide its difficulties in proving beyond reasonable doubt that indeed the king was about to be assasinated by placing the device under the bridge. Mbedzi has been charged and convicted of two "murders", that of his cdes Jack Govender and Musa Dlamini. Funny, strange but true.

I decided to give this brief background in order to fill in the gaps since the article is a bit bland. Also to assist the uninformed tribalist who is busy insulting the all Vhavenda, dehumanizing them by calling them "Ma-venda". Grow up stupid tribalist. I have been in the trenches with some of these guys from Venda, brave cadres indeed. Cdes Jack Govender and Amos are well trained cadres, unfortunately an accident happened when it mattered most, that is life, sometimes it throws at you a curve ball.

Ask yourself why a free man, employed, with a wife and children will choose to endanger his life for the freedom of others? You can call it stupidity of "ma-venda", but I see a brave cadre who endengered his life so that our fellow bretheren in Swaziland will one day enjoy freedom and democracy. Those four cdes will always be the torch bearers when it comes to the struggles of our fellow bretheren in Swaziland. They did their part, what are you doing?
