Grandson caught man (74) in the act of raping his granddaughter
A blind man was sentenced to 12 years in prison on Monday for raping his nine-year-old granddaughter, Limpopo police said.
The 74-year-old was convicted by the Mankweng Regional Court of a rape committed on September 12, 2011, Constable Moses Molepo said.
“The girl had gone to her grandfather’s house to deliver vegetables at Ga-Molepo in Dihlopaneng.”
He ordered her girl to take the items to his bedroom. He followed her into the room and repeatedly raped her.
Her brother caught the man in the act.
The girl was taken to Mankweng Hospital.
