When they say, we the Africans are not well admin- equiped to gorven our own countries, I really become angry sometimes. But as the time goes on, I do realize that what they say is actually spot on. SA is just on the wrong path walked by all African countries. just imagine these fat ugly cabinet ministers failing to run a straightforward potfollio like prisons.

Is this the very same NUM that was supposed to represent Lonmin Marikana workers ? This is a matter of extereme sensitivity and confidentiality, safety of parole officers at stake.
This is Zuma's government. Cant he step down with his parliament of incompetent , corrupt rascals. I bet he knows what he is doing, probably in process of looking for wife number 6 while the country is in disaster.
Nothing is working out under zuma admninstration, schools, still no text books in Limpopo, yet the people who were accused of millions of fraud in KZN walked free, no case against them but millions still dissapreared.
Escom keeps on having inadequate supplies yet we are getting harrendous bills at he end of the month. Ministers like Dipuo Peters ( so called minster of energy), never heard her adressing the issue, yet she knows very well there are people consuming electricity without paying for the service. This is the outcome of social worker being a minister of mineral energry instead of housing and selltlement.
The health system needs a divine rescue following Mrs Shawara's claim that she can take anyone from the street to do nursing, hence exodus of most experienced nurses and doctors
Mines should not be nationalised at all NOT WHEN ZUMA IS SO CORRUPT. Making the school kids suffer because he wants to prove a point to Malema is b,....
Wake up south african 2014 is still far , let this man causing a disgrace step down, this is far too much .nxa

Even if Mbeki was to marry a second wife now, the state will pay for her benefits. Did you know that we are still paying for De klerk's benefits and a monthly salary?

Last week when Julius Malema said NUM doesn’t care about workers needs is busy with business deals and it has shares in mining companies, Lesiba Seshoka (NUM spokesperson) said Julius is confusing NUM with ON-Point Engineering (Julius's company) coz NUM has no shares anywhere.

Now it goes to show that NUM cannot be trusted. When the miners are on strike it is a no-work-no-pay, but what happens to the monies that NUM collects from its investments?
@Siya5297, I agree with U, those parole officers deserve a medal. They had the greatest excuse not to come to work but they chose not to exercise that excuse.

At the rate at which South Africa going down ,it will be worse than Nigeria in a matter of 5years.As an African i feel so sad and ashamed to witness the destruction of once a great nation.I am sorry to say this but i think we blacks are cursed when it comes to governance.Maybe we should just leave the management of our countries to the Caucasians because 10 times out of 10 they seem to me more disciplined and better at running countries than we are.I am tired of defending Africa and the black race,it is just exhausting.

When i migrated to SA everything worked now it is very much starting to look like Nigeria and it is really makes me sad.I don't want SA to go down but it seems,it own citizens want to intentionally destroy/cripple their country through corruption. It baffles me really ,why will anyone want to destroy his/her property all for a couple of millions? Please saffers,i BEG you to make the right choice now for the sake of your future generations.Vote in the right Government that will deal with corruption and crime and bring your country back to it's former glory.Do not vote with your heart, instead vote with your head.Think deep ,analyze and choose the right leaders. You can still save SA but time is running out before you join the rest of the other failed African states.

This is a rich country but run by rascals , corrupt incompetent people itsa shame to watch from far,
my beloved country which still has all it takes to be the JEWEL OF AFRICA !!
First they must deal with illegal immigrants like Uk is deprting like it has never done it before, no jojo ,germany has tightened its immigration rules that even if you have the passport you fill the security check. @MSG_S - Seems you and i are thinking the same way.I wish i had the right to vote in SA because i will vote for the right party. In Nigeria we never had the chance to save our nation we had military coups and there we no elections until 1999.Thank GOD SA has never had a coup and unlike Nigeria the citizens votes actually count.

I think saffers need to be shown documentaries of African countries, how they were once great and how they were destroyed by their citizens out of greed. This will jolt many saffers in to reality and probably influence them to make the right choices in life and during the elections.SA was Africa's last frontier for the black race to prove that they can rule a nation but once we have failed woefully.

@seutullamakunutu - You are right SA is a rich country but what makes SA thrive is actually its infrastructure. That is what the rest of Africa is lacking. If the rest of Africa has the infrastructure you have right now ,all the immigrants will disappear within a month.Good infrastructure makes countries run smoothly without hiccups.

You see the illgal immigrants roblem is intentional,i believe that Government of the day is somehow benefitting from the influx of people. It is not not rocket science to tigthen somone border,SA can do it if they really wanted to but they don't.Another thing you must consider is that SA embassies on the African continent are notoriously corrupt. They prey on the desperate.A few years ago the Nigerian government had a row with they SA embassy in lagos because they were issing visas to wanted criminals.

The Nigerian police discovered over 458 members of notorious armed robbery gang known as the bakassi boys had been issued visas to SA even though they wanted by the police. This led the government to investigate the embassy and they discovered that some of the workers were taking bribes to issue visas. The Nigerian government made a complaint about the embassy to pretoria and subsequesntly the embassy was suspended from issuing visas.SA embassy in Lagos now does not issue visas directly, instead (after being forced by the Nigerian Govt) they contracted a private company to process visa applications on their behalf. This thankfully has reduced the number dangerous Nigerians coming to SA.

However it is too late ,the damage has been done because too many guys who have no skills or education whatsoever to function properly in a society like SA have been allowed to come here hence while you see them in the news every other day.

The problem here is us the voters, the people who puts goverment in power. We continue to vote ANC into power becuase we feel like we owe them, what they did back then by fighting for freedom is highly appriciated but what is happening now is not what people like Solomon Mahlangu and the other heros died for, even if Motlanthe or Tokyo becomes president the will still be corraption and theft of goverments funds becuase we are a greed driven country. It seems we have forgotten about them men who have put us into power, which is GOD we have put him aside and put our greed and week minds before him just like other African countries.

I think you both need to be very careful of your statements, its disrespectful to come to ones house as a guest and start telling the owner how bad he is running his home. Its the very same ANC/Gov that opened the gates for you to come to SA. You are also a problem in this country, if you think you are this brilliant, why did you leave your countries without lifting your economies. Lastly keep out of SA politics and be greatful that we welcomed you, I am saying that with lots of respect.

Personaly I don`t see the farse about them signing on the road, these guys are all over the townships, visiting parolees at their homes for signatures, they sign on the boot of the car, next door or anywhere, what confidentiality are we talking about, no wonder these guys commit crime we let them go around CBD, why parole them in the first place, let them finish their sentences & see if we need that building & those officers. These buildings are cheaper than Roux`s buildings.

@Skhokho 21 point of correction i am a south african but a foreigner in one of the western countries, not an illegal immigrant of course.

I have all the rights to comment about the maladministation in my country. South Africa is going down under Zuma administration, its a fact. Since Zuma took over there has been scandals after scandals including not being able to discipline his ministers. What's Zuma's reasons to keep Angie in her post. The state of universities and schools is deteriorating daily, one of the best universities in the world .i.e Wits is not even rated anymore we only left with UCT.
@DJ Winner fighting for freedom is not a key to immorality which what we see on Zuma. How many people have been fighting for this freedom and managed to go to school, came back being doctors, engineers from imperial college, microbiologists from University College London and London school of hygiene and tropical medicine, etc list goes on and on, so keep that lame excuse to yourself. Its better if you also shut pu defending Zuma where you know very well he is not worth.

By the time the people stop voting ANC it will be too late - just like in Zimbabwe. - the Zimbabweans were too passive - now they suffer.

People seem to like the freedom after 1994 but don't take responsibility that goes with it - to get the right party to rule the country.
