In JHB City Centre when u parked on the street, you pay a ridiculous R8 an hour to some fat cats, who dont even look after your car. If you park at a wrong space where you are not suppose to park, th metro police come and tow your car and you pay R2000 to get it back. So if you drive in JHB you live to pay. Report Abuse

fact is. if one is going to Jozi after 8 am, you will never find parking anywhere. when you drive into Eloff street, JMPD slap you with a fine. trying to reason with a metro cop is a waste of time. ACE contractors that is in charge of parking space in the CBD also charge an exorbitant amount of R4.25 for 30 minutes. It is much cheaper to park one's car inside the Carlton Centre if you are going to be longer wherever you are going. Report Abuse

First of all Goodman Matampi was wrong.
A civil traffic officer would have given him a fine only, but somehow this turned ugly, so I suspect something happened, maybe Goodman became aggressive and they just wanted to prove to him that he is nothing.
