There is a big correlation between education and pregnancy. The Indian model showed it brilliantly.
It would, however, be very interesting to see the facts on paper so we can see if it really is an education issue or if it is a social issue. Poverty cannot really be used as an excuse as we have free birth control clinics so the question would have to be why they are not being used.

To me the fact that the foetus will develop into a human being someday is strong enough for me to come to a conclusion that abortion is killing..thats just me.

MommaC - what do you mean? are you going to tell me about back door abortions that used to happen and many gals died coz of them? well they are still happening. but lets not talk about abortion as if we are talking about eating. We are talking about loss of innocent lives!Sin - I am against those who have unprotected sex in this day and age,hence my comment about awarenes on contraceptives being increased. Abortion is just a temporary solution Sin,looking at it from a women's perspective.
Im against abortion,only God has a right of taking the life of another "human being".The only time when abortion should be accepted is when a woman is rap.ed. but that too is debatable.

people are not necoming cold hearted, they have s3x too much thats whats causing the high number of "unplanned" pregnancies. you dont want a baby then dont do anything that might increase the chance of you falling pregnant. its as simple as that.

If 'god' made the decision to put a life in your womb then it is not your right - under ANY circumstances, including r@pe - to remove it. If, however, the egg is fertilized in the less biblical method of coitus, then how do you decide what is and is not acceptable to termination?

Robin - Sir,Justify it in whatever manner you want to,but I still stand by what I said earlier. Doesnt matter at what stage the foetus becomes a viable life. To me the fact that the foetus will develop into a human being someday is strong enough for me to come to a conclusion that abortion is killing..thats just me.Mommac - That is why in my earlier post I mentioned that is it debatable in cases where someone is raped and abortion has to be considered. Im fully against abortion,and in rape cases there are some options the victim can consider like adoption, but thats debatable still...its better than killing.......

My problem is not with your belief or your choice. My problem is with your stance whereby your choice should over ride the choices of others. Saying that people should have been aborted because they hold different beliefs to yours was a bit OTT. Suggesting that anyone who differs from you should never have been born isn't terribly 'christian' of you either.
