SOME PEOPLE REALLY HAVE A HARD LIFE: She lost her money in a fire - and it will take her 18 months to earn it again -- R3,700
A ZIMBABWEAN woman needs to go home, but she does not have money or a passport.
Lydia Zevezeve, 31, who used to raise money by selling scrap metals at Polokwane dumping site, lost R3,700 in cash when her shack caught fire last week.
Zevezeve had saved the money to buy clothes and groceries, for her family in Zimbabwe when she visits.
"It will take me another one and half years to raise that kind of money.
"It is not safe to stay in the shack.
"I put my trust in Polokwane disaster management, which visited me and took my particulars," Zevezeve said.
Westernberg police spokesman Captain Mohlaka Mashiane advised people to keep their money in banks for safety.

eKapa: What a refreshing comment. I came in her prepared to see a wave of anti-Zimbabwean diatribes, but was met by compassion. Good for you, Sir.Report Abuse

Yes, they must start to deliver text books so that the people can get educated, get a job and buy a house, something that would help as well is if there weren't millions of illegal immigrants.
