Two children have been found strangled and their father hanged in their Mossel Bay home, Western Cape police said on Monday.
A neighbour found their bodies on Sunday while their mother was at work, Captain Bernadine Steyn said.
The children, aged nine and seven, were lying on a bed. It appeared that they had been strangled. The father was hanging from a rope tied to the rafters in another room in the house.
An autopsy will be conducted.

Why?Mental health in SA is abysmal. I cannot imagine how a father looks into the eyes of his innocent children and chokes the life out of them. Just too heart breaking :(

It's heart breaking that most of the time children are involved in this senseless killings and I'm failing to understand why we as human beings do that. Most of the stories I read today children have been brutally killed and raped.It's time that we speak to our partners and be very vigilant of small things.Report Abuse
