Family's house rebuilt

Aug 17, 2012 | Ntwaagae Seleka | 1 comments

THE Free State government has finally delivered on its promise to rebuild the last of five houses it demolished about two years ago.

Viljoenskroon resident Gawie Henning said his family was relieved that their house had been rebuilt after a wait of nearly two years. It was handed over to them this week.

Henning, his wife and their three children lived in a caravan after the demolition in December 2010.

In 2010 the government demolished five houses in Rammulotsi with the promise to rebuild.

After about a year houses were built for Lucy Mochochoko, Martha Thooe, Dorothy Dlamini and Hessie Taje of Rammulotsi.

Free State premier Ace Magashule said the Henning family had not been deliberately ignored.
