i also support protesting, but not this kind of protesting where cars and property are damaged.
another kind of protesting i dont get is when protesters vandalise their own area.......eg their own streets, throwing rubbish all over the road etc. Some, who after the protest are the ones who gonna come back and clean up (how does that make sense?) Report Abuse

MommaC, oooooohhhhh. I always thought those signs meant you are allowed to hi-jack there, you know, like the 60 kmp/h roadsigns means that's the speed you're allowed to drive there. You think maybe others got it wrong too, that's why we have so many hijackings there? Report Abuse
MommaC, I checked your question with some much younger co workers. They say you're right with the 60 seconds, but not till the cops arrive. Apparently it is 60 seconds before a rival carjacking syndicate shows up to try and take the loot. At least I know I'm right with those signs on the highways showing the little cameras. I've stopped and taken many beautiful pictures at those photo taking spots already. Report Abuse

True hey. 60 days for the cops to arrive would be more realistic.

Vandalism is an undesired behaviour when you link it, to its consequences, but having said so. Protest is an expresion of violence and anger, because no happy person can protest.
Vandalism is one of the factors that indicate violence to justify anger . The happy person cannot act violently than dancing and smiling/loughing. So if you support protests , you automatically support violence and anger that is likely to be expressed in an act of vandalism.
The question is than , why should people protest, when they can negotiate their issues? If the second person is not prepared for negotiation, his expectation than is obvious.
I am therefore feeling betrayed here in this forum ,by people that I trust as inteligent people, conflicting their statements. Report Abuse

OLDLADY4The 60 signs are for the speed you are allowed to drive? I though it was for the number of seconds you had to jack a car before the cops arrived :)
