A life orientation school lesson has led to the arrest of an alleged paedophile, according to a report on Tuesday.

The Star newspaper reported that a 12-year-old Johannesburg girl, who may not be identified, came forward about a sexual assault after a lesson by her life orientation teacher.

The teacher spoke to the children about abuse and taught them that nobody was allowed to touch their private parts, and what to do if this happened.

After the lesson, the girl went to the teacher to say that her neighbour had been molesting her.

The teacher contacted her mother, who took the girl to a doctor who confirmed that she had been molested.

“I have to really say thank you to the teacher,” the mother told the newspaper.

The neighbour was arrested.

Four more girls, including the man’s own daughter and her friends, would now also be examined to check for abuse.

That's the power of education/knowledge right there. I wonder what the bastard was telling this young girl to make her believe there was nothing wrong with what he was doing to her... POWER TO EDUCATION!!!
