Aug 14, 2012 | Frank Maponya Limpopo Bureau Chief | 67 comments

AT LEAST seven people, including three councillors, have been arrested in connection with the violence that erupted at Motetema, Limpopo, at an event organised by the "Friends of the Youth League".

I agree. ANC is not the same. ANC was not meant to be a traditional organisation which advirtise zulu group and thier marriages. ANC was not founded to give preference to polygamy than to persue solutions of Africans. ANC was advocated by some of Botswana people for shelter during the heart time, but now only Nkandla benefits.

I think the people differ where they brought up and how they brought up. Malema's friends won't be given inch time in that area because that district is a district of spartan disciplinarians and intellects in the arena of politics, they simple separe hooligans and Mafia from politics. They ( people of Matetema) begun to nurture their approach to politics from high schools' debates. They can articulate their concerns immaculatively with dignity and respect.

So in way they know when and where to be physical radical and where & when to be having robus debate. Hard luck for my Malema's friends must learn to understand that we raised different from others, their witness remained theirs( Malemas' friends).

I am very disturbed by Mzansi Fo Sho presenter Tshepo Ngwane's statement that he dumped the mother of his child because she allegedly dated an HIV-positive person.

That is selfish and self- righteous. This boy has a super-inflated ego. I challenge the ignorant Ngwane to take a public HIV test.

He does not seem to realise that his statement exposed his stupidity. I don't believe that SABC1 should renew his contract. I don't think we should be watching people like Ngwane on our screens.

From now on, when Ngwane appears on my TV, I will just switch channels. I will not allow a fool to come into my living room.

SABC must educate its staff about HIV because they are supposed to be role models. I really wish Ngwane could take a public HIV test, then publish the results. As a self-confessed playboy, Ngwane cannot be sure of his status.

It's a shame though when a person like him exposes his ignorance like that, and then feels sorry for the woman he intended marrying.

And trying to blame his role in Yizo Yizo does not wash because Zola was in the same production and he is using that experience in a positive way.

Political intolerance at its worst!!!
I have never heard Malema hurl insults, i've have however heard him tell the painful truth about Jacob Zuma. If this was lies or insults, why does Zuma not go to court and interdict Malema on this?
This was a planned attack on Malema's supporters and those who are ashamed that the ANC has been taken over by a gangster. There are some leaders within the ANC who are afraid and very concerned that Juju is educating people & telling people the truth about Zuma. They organise few hooligans who are not even members of the ANC to attack people. Asijiki Juju keep telling the truth, smashing of cars or not we will never surrender. Post Mangaung a win or lose we will not surrender. Gangsters must be removed, we will not allow patronage and subterfuge to rule this country, we want Zuma out.

Someone had to do something to defend the name and the image of the organisation. Deputy President Motlanthe has failed to defend the ANC and its president each time Malema and his group attacks the president while praising Motlanthe. He was suppose to step in and tell the friends of the Youth League to stop mentioning his name if they are going to insult the sitting president of the organisation. He should tell them to also stop using the colours and the logo of the organisation while lambasting the president but using his name. Seeing that he has failed to do so, it was only left in the hands of ordinary members of the organisation to act and it's just unfortunate that they acted angrily but one cannot blame them. I doubt if Motlanthe is really as principled as people think, if he really was that principled, he would defend the president of the organisation from those who attack him using his name. The only time i heard him saying something against these attackers was when he told them to stop printing the T-Shirts using his picture because doing so simply means that they personalise the ANC. He said the ANC does not belong to an individual and he was right. However, as a principled man that we have been made to believe he is, he should also stand against those who attack the president of the organisation, but he chose to keep quiet bout it.

@Raysermesser your malema need to have a stand point that way no one can accuse him of being a flip flopper all the so called truth he, according to you is telling about zuma has always been there long before zuma became president, malema is amongst the ppl who imposed zuma's presidency to a subservient nation, was it not malema who said he was prepared to die for zuma already when he had rape charges and corruption charges? Just admit it you anc youth were sold a cat in the sack cause your leaders instead of fighting for youth issues they became praise singers to corrupt leaders are responsible to destroy your futures angie zuma blade to name but a few, even now sacp youth leader has now been promoted to being new lapdog for zuma, so my advice to you, you guys sit down and do some intro-spection, set clear and achievable goals for the sake of your futures, cause really the shrinking tax base can hardly manage to support increase number of social grants benefits and non contributors to the national kitty.

@Rayzermesse - the big problem with your idol JUJU is that he himself wants power for the same reason as JZ - to be in a position to dispense patronage. That is what he has been doing in Limpopo, how he has become very very rich - it is common knowledge that businessmen queue up outside his door ( maybe less now), that if you want a tender, you have to pay a percentage into hisTrust's account, etc.

How the hell can you admire this man, do you not see that he is power hungry for his own benefit ?

The ANC and its supporters are like all typical thugs: when the chips are down they have no loyalty to each other. Day after day we see the ANC's comrades (so called) fighting each other over which man will win supreme. Then every now and then one of them will look up and say to the people, "...but the ANC is not divided. Our strength is in our diversity." LOL.

Seldom do we see the comrades talking of the PRACTICAL plans necessary to grow this country and unite its people. Instead they talk of ideologies and social re-enginnering strategies that will never work.

The ANC is in a serious spiral into chaos. It is time to throw them in the dirt bin lest we end up in a civil war over which more corrupt man (Zuma or Malema's puppet) will head the next and biggest failed liberation movement in Africa. What a joke!

Di loma barafi bjale. Malema le segongwana sa gagwe sa bo Ludere, Lebogo etc ba nagana gore Limpopo ke spaza shop sa bona.

Malema need to wake up. He is being used by money+power-hungry politicians. He was used during Polokoane Revolution to oust Mbeki & now he is being used by others to topple the very same Polokoane Revolution champions. After that he is gonna be thrown away like a heavily used condom.

All this rubbish while the country is falling apart at the seams. It is heartening to know that there are people out there who do not support malema, but we really need to stand together now to get rid of the anc as a whole. They are rotten from the head down and our country is bleeding because of them. South Africans deserve much better than this. Let us stop fighting these silly battles amongst ourselves. Let us stand together and use our precious vote to get rid of the anc. Any other party that may come into power is going to have a helova time trying to fix the mess. The country is dysfunction in every aspect. It will just get worse if we waste time on the malemas and the ancyl. They have no concern for our future. ANC cadres attack eack other! The ANC's puppet unions are at war with each other! One of the world's biggest mining companies has shut down it operations in SA! The President has resorted to devious tactics to silence his opponents INSIDE his own political party so that he can carry on raping the country! The vultures in the ANC hover ready to swoop down on the President at Mangaung and pick his eyes out - he's got no brains to pick;) The education system has crumbled in Limpopo and E. Cape! Service delivery protests rock the country! Land invasions are taking place as we speak in Barberton - silently and steadily. More people are unemployed in SA than ever before! The ANC continues to erode freedom of speech and association as it tries to block the Public Protector!

Yet despite all the above the average ANC supporter still believes that the ANC can turn the ship around. Talk about delusional.

You must just remember that violence begets violence. There is freedom of association in this country. What some of those people in the ANC are doing is take the law into their own hands. With that kind of leadership in the ANC, there will be many of these Marikan-type of incidents in the run-up to Mangaung. Unfortunately the bloodshed will only destabilise the country.
