Why is DA always representing minority, rich people?

It is clear now that once these people come to power, the majority will be discriminated.

Guys, I have to agree to DA on this one. Department of Health is the most problematic department when it comes to non payment of service providers. I am a Consultant and we are doing a number of projects for this department. Consultants and Contractors are not paid on time. You find a contractor being paid for invoice number when he has submitted six invoices already.Non payment or very late payment does k.i.l.l small businesses. Its true.

I hate ANC, but because there is no one else to vote for, I have no choice but to vote them in again. I still have scars of apartheid and these other parties scare me, i think they will bring back the hardships.

@Papage,Deepstick-c,Djwinner...

I know it is hard to trust a Caucasian led Government after what you guys have been through but let us be honest with ourselves.The ANC is becoming a monster and if you guys don't tame it ,you will have a REAL banana republic within a few years .

If you don't understand what i mean ,i will advise you to go and live in my home country of Nigeria for six months,by the time you get back to SA you will know how good you have it here.Save your country now,you have the voting power to do so.Do not make the same mistakes other African countries have made.Vote for a party that is doing it's job right.It will be a horrible shame if you let SA go down the drain and your children will never forgive you.

You are right. We have many people who fear of unknown on both sides (Blacks and Whites). The current situation in this country is a disgrace.Every year we have hundreds of millions or Rands which are un accounted for. How can a department or Municipality fail to justify how it used R500 million to a billion Rand????. Government will be claiming to do something when they create these R5-50million projects when you have R300 to 800 millions un accounted for from various Municipalities and government departments yearly.

My unqualified estimate is that the country has lost R60 billion or more in the past 13 years from missing funds. It can't go on like this.

sabza007 - Your estimation is wrong. We lose about R30 billion A YEAR. Thats not even including the secret police/military 'slush funds' that we dont know about.

Funny that the politically connected tenderpreneurs never complain about getting paid. This guy is not the only one that's missing a payment. There have been several stories of small companies shutting down because of this problem. It will not help to have indabas, lekgotlas about jobs, Second Transition, New Growth Plan, National Planning Commissions or have marches for Economic Freedom in our lifetime if companies that create jobs are not being paid.

Call it cheap political points for the DA if you like, but fact is government must pay. If you dont pay government they switch off your electricity, SARS chases after you and send the Hawks to take your stuff. so they must pay!

Nobd

As Nobd we feel this is unfortunate really because the life line of any business is its cash flow. Waiting 30 days is long enough because during that time one has no access to that cash and its crippling for smaller businesses with low cash flow levels because that business has to wait until it is paid by the first customer before they can fulfil the next customer's order.

At this rate of cash turnover, small businesses will find it hard to thrive because by the time that money comes, they now have fixed costs to pay in rent, telephone, wages etc. There is not enough time to turn over your cash more than once in a month and if the payment goes into 60 days or 90 days then it means one is stuck in one position for that long and the associated costs of doing business can lead to businesses closing should they not have access to other forms of cash or affordable funding.
