according to our DoE, these ones weren't books they were 'promotional material'.

It is AUGUST and they still have no clue. It is past time that we got some results from the Minister. At the moment, they don't even have a usable catch up plan. I presume they are working on the idea of just lowering the pass rate again and making the tertiary system deal with their mess

Very true :(
They have taken the entire futures of these children and treated it like toilet paper. The future of SA is dependant on making sure the generation that is in charge of it are given the tools to take it forward. All the Education Department is giving is the 'hewers of wood' tools. That is criminal

"It was the third incident where books were found dumped under mysterious circumstances."

Why are they acting like this is a mystery, it's as if the Department of Education doesn't know who delivers or who have they contracted to deliver text books, if you ask someone or sign a contract with someone to deliver something for you and something goes wrong you know who to point a finger at, but in our govt case this is a mystery to them, who is doing this?

I still maintain there are only possibly 2 reasons why these books were dumped (1)The Limpopo education dept’s record keeping was in a total mess. They lied when they said they didn’t receive the texts books. Later they had to dump the books to cover up their lies and save face. Just good old fashioned laziness, coupled with ineptitude, cadre deployment and incompetence. Let’s not forget some people earn huge salaries to make sure this doesn’t happen. (2) The Dept ordered more texts books than they needed but kickbacks were paid if orders were placed, even if they did not need more books. They had to dump the excess somewhere. Some schools were therefore “over supplied” and others “under supplied”. Somebody reconciled the number of students in the province with the orders placed and the “over supplied” schools had to dump the excess. It is all about the money.

Notwithstanding the fact that our children's future is at stake here, I have a reasonable believe that this issue has passed its ''sell by'' date. There is no need to tell us more that Chris Hani is dead over and over again, we know he will never come back even though we loved him, just like the future of our children which had been compromised so fatally by the President and the Minister, we will never ever reverse the situation nor recover the knowledge and the precious time that our children has lost as there is no use to cry over spilled milk! We want to assure our poor and marginalized citizens who cannot take their kids to Private Schools due to financial strains that Jacob, Angie, Cassel and Dickson will never ever be forgiven for this kind of a degrading merciless mess! To some of us this bring an emotional pain and stress as we know where and how the movement and our black society suffered and come from! It is very embarrassing and too down-low to witness in disbelieve our most trusted Comrades taking their own blood and souls as ''cheap material'' which deserve toilet dumping in a very careless manner! We are tired of hyenas who are wearing the leather of the colors of the ANC ''gesturing'' as hopefuls and faithfuls in search of self enrichment and fame so that they can sleep with all the models in the world and explore their global and domestic sexual fantasies with the tax payers money under the banner of the ANC as their scapegoat, singing false opportunistic hypocritical tunes in the name of 'service delivery' and false financially inclined honesty and deceitful passion to our historic movement! Time will come in the ANC were we will directly deal with this lot of dung and gut! We will spew them out of our movement to the dismay of their disbelieve! Away with illiterate tsotsis and taxi drivers in our precious movement! Alluta!!! Time to get rid of hyenas in the ANC colors in now!

My take in this matter is, DoE and it agencies failed to deliver the books, now they are dumping them on dump sites so that investigators get the idea that books were never delivered by publishers. We all know now that books were published, but never delivered, so DoE must tell us who was responsible for delivering books to schools, or who was responsible for that tender.

I am not an ANC supporter nor do I support Zuma but I have to agree with you on this one. There's much more to this book dumping issue than meets the eye. Why on earth would someone dump books...and especially now when the book saga is hot. If not to tarnish Angie's name and the Zuma administration...and why in Limpopo where Zuma's enemies reside? This smells like sabotage. Angie Motshega's hands are tied. It's not the easiest thing to fire government employees or anyone for that matter in SA cos of strict labour law procedures. So the education officials in Limpopo who are on Mathale and Juju's paroll can drag their feet with impunity, and go scott free. Suffer ye little children: THE ROAD TO MANGAUNG.

We already knew according to the national government that Limpopo Edu.dept is not doing well hence the decision to put them under administration or is the decision based on political differences rather than performance?

Go and read news24 about his tax problems. this boy is trying to use his last breath to be saved. Flemza, i can answer your question by saying that Malema cannot comment on this issue because the people who are dumping the books are his friends who are trying to subotage the intervention by National Government Limpopo, you know these morons can do anything to archieve their goals, even if it means jeopadising the future of our children they don't care, as long as they get what they want. You should ask yourself why he has never said anything about the more than R2 billion Limpopo Province squandered, which almost led to doctors and nurses not getting their salaries for December last year. The self proclaimed mr know it all can't say anything against his friends, but will be quick to blame Zuma for bringing development to Nkandla. I believe if the money that was squandered by Mathale led administration had been squandered by KZN, we would have heard Malema telling everyone "I told you so, look what Zuma and his Zulus have done to KZN? But because it happened in his own back yard, he suddenly has got nothing to say about it.

Flemza said "Please people help me to understand here , why Malema is quite about this should he be not making noise here isn`t this the opportunity so show his character as a true leader to get down to the bottom of this maybe donate one of his BEE tender cars to transport these books personally speaking I think Winnie and Malema are loosing the opportunity to shine here. I wonder were are the friends they have been vocal what a shame".

=====================
true you couldnt have said it better, these guys from Limpopo think we are moro*ns like them ,they are just making noise against Zuma for them to continue to gain and loot the whole country ,i am begining to mistrust Motlante as well what has he ever said he part of presidency for haven sake, sometomes politics can be so irritating

I believe that only people who are without brains will continue to attack the President and the Minister for the mess that the Limpopo Provincial Government has caused. If you have brains, you will realise that the minister, sitting in her office in Pretoria, will never give instructions to people to dump books meant for kids. The fact that someone was found trying to shred the books in Seshego, which happens to be the home town of Malema, and books were also found dumped in Savi Dam, also the fact that others were found dumped at Majeje village in Phalaborwa should be enough evidence to tell all of you that the minister has done nothing wrong except for the fact that she delayed to act, something which does not warrant her removal as minister. You can shift the blame to the minister or the president as much as you like, but one thing that remains is that Mathale is still the Premiere in that province and how he does not know about this should raise questions. It is clear some people have vowed to make Limpopo Province ungovernable since the take over by the National Government's task team led by Pravin Gordan. However, it is shocking how some people can be easely fooled by this. I hope the investigations can be released sooner, so that the noise makers can see that it has got nothing to do with the minister but Limpopo government officials are.

Ok then do not talk about racism is CT, it is only the anc and ancyl that is trying to deter the people from other provinces to vote DA. I did see that violent protests in cape town, why is the ancyl doing this? why do they want to make the WC ungovernable?

Why is there so many people flocking there for better education and work?

Just because one says it is a fact does not mean it is a fact, go and search the web for racial attacks per province and come and tell me where it is the worst. stop sucking your thumb and get facts.

Limpopo Book Story, again!!!! Who's been hunted and by Who? Thinking you'll find somebody who's tried to sabotage the ANC Government, or Mr Zuma and ANYCL Malema faction, Is this a political conspiracy, as we normally been told, It's been 3 to 4 weeks since the story of books surfaced, I have not heard any Education executive been fired or even been arrested and charged for gross Constitutional violation of children, typical of us humans where you point a finger across and yet 3 of the fingers are actually pointing at you, Mr President it's not suprising your quiet diplomacy on such life threatning matter to a black child, surely it's not white schools in the province that they've suffered this fate of books, your concern is the ANC's Presidential second term in office, to actually do what? when most government and minesterial potfolios' performance is so horrible, so many years of oppression to masses of blacks in this country, and still is

Like you said it's four weeks now, yes it's four weeks and the investigations are goind ahead, in due course you will hear that someone has been arrested. Zuma is not an emotional president who acts on a whim, he first appoint people to investigate so that when he takes a decision, it must be an informed and a well thought one, because this issue has got more legal implications than you think, which can back fire on him if he can act as quickly as you people axpect him to. You don't just wake up the following day in the morning and instruct that someone be expelled from work without any evidence of their wrong doing. So sit down and relax, heads will roll as soon as the outcome of the investigation is released.

That is true subotage, they don't even burn them. Mathale and his cronnies must be fired. To be honest they whats happening with this saga. They are bitter because Nationa Goverment took the administation of that depatment. We are still going to get more books dumped because they are doing the dumbing now.
