How can the PEC do an investigation of what actually happened when it is right at the heart of the problem? First they disqualified about 100 legitimate branches because they realised that they did not support a Jacob Zuma second term. And then they allowed ghost branches to send delegates to the conference. seeing that the "scond termers" were still not going to win they decided not to announce the election results. This is the same strategy that was used in Freistata and Mpumalanga to get Ace Magashule and David Mabuza re-elected ANC chairmen. It is up to ANC branches to respond to these blatantly arrogant and undemocratic practices. No help is going to come from Gwede Mantashe who is also mortfied about Mangaung. One thing is clear, the decision to not bring forward nominations for Mangaung was taken to provide space and time for despicable things like this. The ANC Policy Conference clearly indicated the there is not enough support for a Jacob Zuma second term. If these people are allowed to get away with things like this, the ANC has got no future.

It uis also clear that nothing is sacred to these Zuma people, not even ANC centenary celebrations which are supposed to be celebrated by all ANC members and the public. When we go to these meetings to celebrate 100 years of selfless strauggle, we find that the celebrations have now been turned by desperate Zuma supporters, into platforms to mobilise support for second term for Jacob Zuma. not even state functions are spared. Yesterday, I attended the main Women's Day function addressed by Jacob Zuma. Most women and members of the public (just like me) and simply come to celebrate a great day for women but a small group of people tried to turn into a platform to sing Mshini wam, forthunately the crowd did not oblige.

Nobody in their wildest imaginations thought that when they elected Jacob Zuma and Gwede Mantashe as ANC leaders, a few years later they would be denied the democratic right to remove them, with every trick in the book being used in order to cling to power. Maqabane, it is time to be strong and get rid of the dictatorship. It is time to save the ANC and South Africa from this shameless dictatorship. Polokwana, with the benefit of hindsight, was big mistake and the ANC has to correct itself.

Cmr PAD, we have resolved in The NGC in Durban 2010 that the NEC members must also undergo Political Education but up to now nothing is happening. What happened at OR Thambo is gross misconduct and Thuggery by the PEC. I agree with u, the PEC cannot conduct investigations while they were administering Conference. It's is true, they are part of the problem. These leaders cannot perform simple administrative duties to conclude conference buziness because what they have in mind is to apply these foreign tendencies to our glorious movement. Reason: Lack of Political Education!!! I advise all ANC branches in the OR Tambo Region who have the same vision about our organization and our country to start putting pen to paper in grieviance to the conduct of the PEC. Remember the Sun City Connference. It was difficult but at the end someone in the NEC had to listen to us because people started to feel that they were standing on shaky grounds.
