I was born n bred in the limpopo farms near botswana border, but it was my father's responsibility to make sure i attend school. He moved us from the farm to township to attend school while he remained behind. Some of kidz we grow up in the farms remained behind and now they dont have education and they work in farms around while am doing well in life.
During school holidayz we went to those farms to do some odd works to supplement our parents income, so please dont try to make yourself feel better here..
So it was my parents choice n my choice to remain at school or drop out n go work at the farms. Dont play the racist part here or play hero.

1. Mr van der Merwe paid his taxes to the government, according to his earnings. It is governments responsibility to set up schools and run other state facilities. It was not his responsibility to set up schools and orphanages or maintain them. It is not the white farmer that is letting you down, it is the incompetent ANC government that keeps on being elected by blind followers.
2. It was not Mr van der Merwe's responsibility to educate and teach other parents children manners or tell them not to get involved in drug abuse and alcohol abuse.

Rules and regulations are in place to protect farm workers; however it is the farm workers responsibility to file a complaint. A farm worker CANNOT be unfairly dismissed anymore.

The country is beset by social ills and injustices, we cannot always blame white people for it. Black people need a complete change of mindset in order for us to progress anywhere. I am no way denying the deep damage that colonisation and oppression had on our people, but we cannot continue playing the blame game or the victim any longer, not with all the opportunities and resources at our disposal.
The man did a noble and selfless act, let us salute and honour him for that.

He was killed by his employees for not paying them or pathetic salaries of R250.00, 50 Kg of blue bird & 1kg of salt Per Month while they work 12 hours everyday.Only to find out that he had more than 30 million to hand out to charity that is runned by white females who are gonna be the biggest benneficiaries of that money while feeding orphans pap & soup everyday.

I was born n bred in the limpopo farms near botswana border, but it was my father's responsibility to make sure i attend school. He moved us from the farm to township to attend school while he remained behind. Some of kidz we grow up in the farms remained behind and now they dont have education and they work in farms around while am doing well in life.
During school holidayz we went to those farms to do some odd works to supplement our parents income, so please dont try to make yourself feel better here..
So it was my parents choice n my choice to remain at school or drop out n go work at the farms. Dont play the racist part here or play hero.

It is always a norm that good people dont last long in our society. I suspect he was murdered because he was too trusting, generous and probably a man of God. Educating the children of the workers is the responsibility of the workers. We need to move away from this attitude of always waiting for someone else to do something for us. This father gave an olive branch to kids that were put in that situation at no fault of theirs. Did the word "orphan" perhaps escape you in the story?

It was not his responsibility to set up schools and orphanages or maintain them. Rules and regulations are in place to protect farm workers; however it is the farm workers responsibility to file a complaint. A farm worker CANNOT be unfairly dismissed anymore.
4. The constant slagging off of white farmers will leave South Africa hungry and in need.
5. Murder can NEVER EVER be justified.
Bless Mr van der Merwe, he deserved every cent he earned, as an estate like that could only have been accomplished by hard work. Everyone can learn from this man.

However, if the threatened minority wants to live in a Volkstaat and become hermits, then swallow the pride and ask the current government nicely for a section of the country to become a state in South Africa. The Republic of South Africa can then be called the United States of South Africa and walla, whites disappear from the unhappy black community and the black community disappears from the unhappy white’s community.
