Jul 27, 2012 | Quinton Mtyala | 294 comments

EXPELLED ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema has launched another blistering attack on President Jacob Zuma, this time questioning his multiple marriages, the decision to drop charges against him and describing the president as a "questionable leader".

He said Zuma had continued "bombarding" South Africa with his "culture", and had gotten married "every December".
.......................................................................................................
Geez so there's even a pattern to his marriages, I didn’t notice well juju you will know you've been a ring bearer on all occasions. Im worried does this mean zuma is marrying again this coming Dec? OOhhh SA we screwed by our very own shawara president this is getting too much now we cannot keep up with zuma and his wives he must honestly do the honourable thing step down and go focus on his many wives and a village of kids we are tired of feeding of them he cant even think straight anymore

"Every time he stands up to speak about corruption, people look the other side and say: 'look who's talking!'"

'We will kill_ for Zuma'
June 17 2008 at 07:04am

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ANC Youth League (ANCYL) President Julius Malema has vowed that the youth of South Africa would die in supporting ANC President Jacob Zuma.

"We are prepared to die for Zuma," Malema told a Free State rally. "We are prepared to take up arms and kill_ for Zuma," Malema added at the end of his speech, while the crowd clapped hands and laughed.

Earlier, Malema said there was no question that the ANC president would be the country's next president. He added that those who did not respect the current ANC leadership should go.

Malema said those in the party who have indicated that they would not be available for positions in the new government, under Zuma, should not wait but leave now.

He also reiterated that the Scorpions case against Zuma, expected to begin later this year in the Pietermaritzburg High Court, should be dropped.

"The future belongs to us. We do not want a situation where the state prosecutes its own president," Malema said.

He said the ANCYL was planning to assemble a legal team to try to get the case against Zuma thrown out of court.

Good Morning
The president(as the leader) cannot be seen to marrying women everytime he wants. Yes, polygamy is our culture, but a leader has to lead by example. How does our president subscribe to the notion of 1 partner, especially with relation to HIV, when he has many partners?

You forgot that Malema was the leader of all this travesty, he new all this when he and VAvi were shoving this womanizer down our throat, he even promised to k#ill for Zuma. Then how can we trust Malema when he promotes a questionable leader and praise it as the best leader when it suits him? When did Zuma change to all of that? Only people with chicken brains will applaude Malema for criticizing the very same person he supported knowingly that he was corrupt and a womanizer and secondly Juju is not playing the ball but the man just like Zuma himself, like father like sun as he is also to be investigated for suspected corruption what he lacks for now is to marry 4 wives and then he will complete.

I am not justifying the conduct of the President but all I am saying is that a politician should not be seen to argue against the rights entrenched in the bill of rights. That is for us the ordinary members of the community to freely express our views as far as the President's polygamous marriages are concerned. Politics is a game where the players must be careful how they tread because their utterances will bite or favour them in future. Malema is shooting himself in the foot.

Malema is a psycopath - he has no conscience or regard for the truth - he will say and do anything thatsuits him at a particular time. He talks about moral leadership, while he himself has no morality. He talks about corrupt tender practices, while the only wau he made his millions is through tender advantages. Those people who idolise him have very low standards for leadership. I suspect he is idolised only for his abilty to insult everyone who he sees as an opponent. Not the quality that a leader should be chosen on.

yes culture is protected by the constitution but where in the constitution does it say one must impose his culture on everybody else?. a man who chose to follow polygamy know that he is able to afford his lifestyle or as you call it culture not marry as many women for other people to feed and take care of . if he had one shred of intergrity he could have picked one first lady because even in polygamy wives have statuses therefore the first wife should be the first lady but because he want to please his young women he can't pick a first lady thats why he is gunning for a second term to just continue to marry as many greedy women as he wants and we pick the tab. culture does not mean abuse taxpayers who don't conform to the same cultural practises to pay for it okay.
as for Juju everybody already knows what he is talking about so whats the point. we all know there were never any spy tapes thats why NPA can't produce them. we also know that the rape case was not handled well and as a matter of fact Malema was the one who intimidated the lady thats why she fled to seek refuge in another country so he should keep mum about that nxa.

From his group of friends there will be a Snowball who is going to challenge him. @lindsay.
The point I was making is that as an aspiring politician it is dangerous for Malema to take a stand against a right that is entrenced in the constitution. He should not be seen to diss constitutional rights in general as that will count negatively against him in the future. Malema's position is detrimental in the sense that he appears to be ashamed of the culture in the face of the world. What does that say about him as far as being proudly South African is concerned? I say this beside what the President is doing. The primary issue is the existence of the culture and the practice thereof is a secondary issue. A wise politician does not loose focus of the primary issues in order to remain relevant at all times. Relevance is king. so goes the old saying in law practice.

Welcome back to the world of sane people Julius!. The real morons are those who are still enamoured blind followers of Jacob Zuma. Those are the people who are supposed to be condemned. Julius has changed for the better and it does not matter why he changed.

Mtshana, I see the students are even sitting on the floor eating out of your hand. When last did Blade Nzimande even as Minister of Higher Education , ever address students? Not even Gwede Mantashe has ventured to go to any institution to address students? Keep it up Juju, all the way to Mangaung.

He said the ANCYL was planning to assemble a legal team to try to get the case against Zuma thrown out of court.

the question is was Malema speaking there as an ANCYL president,or an ANC member if not then i don't think he was actually taking stand as a politician but as a normal south african citizen as he does not belong to any political party if my memory serves me right and therefore has a right to speak against the cultural abuse. abusing culture does not make one a proud ideal citizen and polygamy is practised in many cultures not only zulu culture for various reasons. a man takes a second wife if his first wife can't bear children not just marry as many as he likes for his perverse sexual apetites like these kings who are abusing the practice for selfish reasons. and if the president is practising his culture when did he become aware of this culture after he became the president?

Four wives on not, Zuma is true to his principles and does not change like a chameleon. If a comparison is made, Zuma is far better than Malema in a number of respects. Zuma is open about his love for women, hence multiple marriages and liasons. Who is Juju's girlfriend, but we all know he has a child out of wedlock (Ratanang). Cerebos is killing this fat boy, is he genuinely criticizing Zuma for his wives or just jealousy because he can't get some? I think Juju is full of Cerebos, hence the verbal free flow. Maybe we must take him to the mountain, after that get him a girlfriend and hope things get better. Malema is so unprincipled he does not deserve any leadership role in our country. Things change with situations for Malema. All those who follow him are fools. They applauded him when he berated Mbeki and praised Zuma, now they are still clapping hands when he berates Zuma and praise Mbeki. They sang his praises when he insulted journos, now they stand by him when he praises the media. They praised Juju for pleading guilty to charges by the ANC in 2010, come 2011 they cry foul when Juju is charged for similar offenses. When elected, Zuma made a very important announcement which was applauded by both Juju and Vavi. Zuma said "I do not owe anybody for supporting me, there will be no favours because you campaigned for me". Vavi and Juju applauded without understanding this very principled stand, when Zuma refuses to be controlled by these two, they now claimed that Zuma has changed. Zuma never changed, he just refuses to be treated like a ragdoll on a string, Zuma is no puppet. In a country wherein homosexuality is legal, how are we going to react if it is revealed that Kgalema is gay? Are we going to disqualify him from leadership because he "sleeps" with men? We cannot determine leadership based on sexual or cultural orientation. Those who live in glass houses must not throw stones.

If one follows Juju, one must become unthinking sheep and just follow!

Edusolutions was awarded a contract procuring stationery and office material to the ANC's Parliament office. Former ANC chief whip Mbulelo Goniwe signed off on the deal.

Why Malemma sucks:

- he takes advantage of the uneducated poor to gain political support,
- he LIVES western culture and then publically denounces it
- he publically denounces corruption in govt, then privately takes part in it
- he publically incites racial hatred of whites in a country that can only go forward on the firm basis of racial integration
- he claims to be on the right side of the law, but is continuously found wanting by the media and the legal system in this country
- he is not a youth but claims to be one, and above that he claims to be the leader of
SA's youth
- he supports despots (Mugabe, Gadaffi, Castro etc)
- he is a "has been" craving attention like a child.

Not even Gwede Mantashe has ventured to go to any institution to address students? Keep it up Juju, all the way to Mangaung. @lindsay

Let me offer free Umrabulo for you young one. I have been a member of the ANC since Oliver Tambo's presidency. I have always followed the ANC not its individual leaders. I refuse to follow Zuma as a person, hence I have one wife but I respect both the ANC's and the country's constitutions and will never undermine other people's cultural preferences. The biblical King Solomon had 700 wives and 300 concubines, yet he is reported to have been the wisest of people who ever walked the earth. I am a Christian, yet I do not emulate King Solomon's example simply because the story is narated in the bible, I still have one wife, but will never criticize King Solomon for his choice.

Zuma and Malema will come to pass and if still alive, I will still remain a member of my beloved ANC. Unfortunately Juju followed Zuma, not the ANC, hence he fell foul of the ANC constitution because he understands people more than the ANC. You have chosen to follow Juju and not the ANC, hence your immature and misguided response to my posting. You also believe that Juju is right when he flip-flops around issues and changing like a chameleon just to suit his situation, that is because you follow Juju and not the ANC.

On each occassion, Juju speaks about Zuma but Zuma chooses not to respond, that puts Zuma on a moral high ground when a comparison is made. Zuma did not install himself, members of the ANC elected him at Polokwane, his term comes to an end in December when we elect new leadership. I will continue to respect him as President of the ANC until then. Rolling your fingers above your head signalling change will not remove Zuma from office, only a vote at Mangaung will. Those who disrupt ANC programmes because they wish Zuma to be replaced must learn to wait for the right time and stop undermining our organization. I hope you get my drift.

October 2006 "It was crazy: the arms deal was signed by the national government at a time when I was a provincial minister in KwaZulu-Natal. I had absolutely nothing to do with it...It was the same with the rape case. Remember, I was ANC chief of intelligence. I know that there were celebrations in certain quarters when that young woman agreed to lay charges against me. She was clearly sent to me for that purpose. As soon as I heard she was laying charges I knew there had to be a plot. I felt very betrayed. I should have realised it before. It's so obvious, really, a young woman wearing very little comes and sits down on your bed and asks to get under the blanket with you ... But I am confident that the truth about that case will come out in time...Most of my problems come from media manipulation. It's clear that many people, including some journalists, had an interest in my being found guilty of rape. When I was found innocent they concentrated on the fact that I'd had sex without a condom and that I'd taken a shower after sex. I had to go into the minutest details." @ BRA-MAFUTHA
So you "fully support Nationalisation"? Do yourself a favour and do some research. Take Tanzania as 1 example: In 1962, Julius Nyerere was elected the country's first President. Nyerere issued the Arusha Declaration, which outlined his socialist vision of ujamaa that came to dominate his policies. The policies led to a collapsing economy, systematic corruption, and unavailability of goods. In the early 1970s Nyerere ordered his security forces to forcibly transfer much of the population to collective farms and, because of opposition from villagers, often burned villages down. The campaign pushed the nation to the brink of starvation and made it dependent on foreign food aid. NaATIONALISATIONS transformed the government into the largest employer in the country. This created an environment ripe for corruption. The private sector suffered from multiplying cumbersome bureaucratic procedures and excessive tax rates. Enormous amounts of public funds were misappropriated and put to unproductive use. Purchasing power declined at an unprecedented rate and even essential commodities became unavailable. A system of permits (vibali) allowed officials to collect huge bribes in exchange for the vibali. Nyerere's policies laid out a foundation for systemic corruption for years to come. In 1985, after more than two decades in power “Nyerere left Tanzania as one of the poorest, least developed, and most foreign aid-dependent countries in the world.” See Skinner, Annabel (2005). Tanzania & Zanzibar. New Holland Publishers. pp. 19. ISBN 1-86011-216-1. Government bureaucrats never create wealth, they only know how to spend money.

Dear Mr Malema

I am glad that you mentioned Tata Mandela in your personal below the belt attack on the President of South Africa. I still have to read a personal vitriolic attack that uTata made to his superiors during his tenure in the ANCYL.

I remember when he was once asked on the eve of his wedding to Mama Machel if he was in love with her, his answer was precise. "In my culture an adult does not discuss his love life with children." What gives you the right, to spew that bile? You were responsible and I still believed that you engineered your own downfall because of shooting from the hip and a lack of political knowledge understan, hence it was redefined polotics to suit you.

I humble believe that for your own benefit, maybe it is time for you, Sir, to shurrup just like Gen Cele. Revenge, anger, slander, will lead you to more trouble. Remember that you no longer have the ANC protection and people will start suing you, chief.

If you are determined to educate yourself, it is possible - I've done it. People without formal education are looked down upon and feel shy. But I am one of the few exceptions. I have done everything the educated have done. Education is education, whether it is formal or not. I want to use my example as an inspiration to those who do not have the opportunity to go to school. I am very disappointed to read that you think economics has nothing to do with running a country. Running the country is economics at its best. Where do you come from? If you apply common sense you will realize that economics lie at the centre of running a country. From your reasoning I shudder to think how many people in leadership positions in RSA are thinking like you. Do you even have a clue what is economics.
//////////////////
U making a good point. Our country is going down because people have no idea of issues at hand. they think that placing a certain low-IQ person like Malema will take care of things. I have said before, education is extremely important for any economy to grow, People must understand that if you do not know about unemployment for example, you cannot serve the people.

In the 60's we had an economic growth far surpassing what we have today, but then sanctions were imposed because of apartheid right, then we started to go into negatives in the 80's. Now since apartheid has ended we have had a healthy economic growth regardless of the recession. You don't understand, you just don't. Economics is not like any other principle where theory comes first economics happened and then people realized they need to theorize what is actually happened. Economics teaches you the theory of an autonomous mechanism that we can only influence but not control. I so wish I could talk to you face to face and give you what I know, teach you what I have. UMhrabulo bro, Nationalization means Govt will take our tax and but these mines and banks you talk about. That will cost trillions of rands in our taxes. Then Govt will run them using (hiring) the former owners (because they have experience) which is back to square 1. Now we will have to repay the money used to buy these institutions, and these people running them can be reckless because they won't be owning them anymore, just like Eskom, Transnet, SABC, and every other parastatals that are failing now.

These are good examples of companies who worked perfect under privatization and failed after they were nationalized:
Eskom
Telkom
SABC
Wildife
Sasol... the list is endless
And there is no example of any company that succeded after being nationalized. Now we are talking about SA not other countries.

The problem of South Africa is not malema but bad leadership that emanated from oppressive regime and till now the zuma administration is still under operation but unlike apartheid, it is not in the street for us all to see. what malema needed to do to remain in ANC was to meet certain people and pledge his allegiance to them which he refused to do because he knows what he believes in and that is sound leadership quality. mandela did the same hence I compare them.

It is such a shame that the President of the Republic of South Africa is not being respected. Clearly Malema has an agenda and this disrespect is un called for and is despicable and embarrassing. How does he sleep at night really? It is beyond belief that there are people that go to listen to Malema and think he is building a nation. He is full of hatred. He hates Zuma and his close people, before that it was former President Mbeki. Furthermore in my opinion he is racist.

Such behaviour should not be allowed and should be criminalised. He is abusing the freedom of speech enshrined in our constitution. It can clearly be seen that now Malema has not got the platform within ANC he uses whatever means to attack those who realised of his unacceptable behaviour. The Mandela Lecturers were created to look at leadership and people that are meant to give these lectures are to do so in line with the theme of the legacy of Madiba and what the young generation at Universities should look at and learn from Madiba. In my opinion that is the problem of inviting people who are not educated like Malema to such a respected institution like a University for him to try and settle his scores . I wonder whether he thinks by attacking the President he is discampaigning for him and pushing that people would take the view that the President should be removed come the December elective conference.

If Malema is really educated and has common sense, he will realise what the President has already said. The President has said he will listen to the people, if the people ask him to lead he will accept and if they choose not he will accept because he believes that he (Zuma) serves the people . The President is ready to acce[t whatever results come out of the elective conference.

Foolish Malema, is having many wives an new thing that President Zuma has just invented or it is something embedded in our culture. He is not the only man with many wives. Take King Mswati. 13 wives and not a single person is shouting obscenities about him. The President has chosen to have how many wives he wants as according to his culture. He is not going around being unfaithful and having mistresses all over south Africa. I am sure that when Malema was growing up he did not have a father figure. I am sure you bring shame to your mother. Malema is such a disrespectful little twart and bastard. No one should give him any time. We are FED UP of Him. Go home to mama and clean the streets or something Foolish C***t

Thank you Mr. You say it so clearly and you take the words out of my mouth. I salute your integrity and opinion. My thoughts and words exactly like yours.

Indeed people with deep intellect will see how the President in all this has behaved. He as a mature and respectable man who is leading our country has chosen to ignore the silly insulting and hurtful comments being thrown at him by Malema and his Crew. That in my opinion shows that he is a leader and shows that he accepts that criticisms are part of the territory. He makes his own mind and does not want to be influenced by any one.

JohnStone thank you again for reminding people about what President Zuma said when he was elected to the office. "No favours for any one who has been campaigning for him" and he has stuck to that principle. He recently has shown that he is a true principled man by saying that he serves the people that chose him. He did not ascend to the Presidency Thrown because he was an heir but he did so through democratic process which he says he will respect come the Elective Conference in December.

We are really getting sick and tired of Malema. The media should not even give him the time and day. I notice that this sort is only Printed in Sowetan and it is not on City Press or M & G. I hope the Sowetan Editor will join that trend and show his/her Editorial Maturity.
