THE mother of a man murdered at the weekend yesterday broke down in tears when she heard that one suspect had been arrested in connection with her son's death.
Theresa Hlatshwayo's son Duma, 29, and Penwell Ramaphuku, 32, were shot and killed at a tavern in Daveyton, Ekurhuleni, on Sunday. A 34-year-old man yesterday handed himself over at the Daveyton police station at midday.
Daveyton police spokesman Captain Alfred Nakana confirmed that the suspect had handed himself in, and added that police were looking for a second suspect.
"The suspect who is currently in custody told us he was with another man who stays at Daveyton Men's Hostel, but is believed to be in Kwa-Zulu Natal."
Nakana said the man was expected to appear in court soon to face two counts of murder, as well as a charge of attempted murder.

Thins issue of people handing themselves over to the police proves that South African sytem is pathetic and that if you were unlucky and you are sentenced, S.A prisons are home away from home or even better.
