"We did not recognise those people who assisted the pupils at that school as teachers," said Kgomo

Spiteful, malicious, childish brat. All because they were shown up and their egos were bruised.

Those 14 have the potential to be the cream of the SA teaching crop. They should be given the chance to get their teaching qualifications as they are more 'teachers' than most of the useless bunch you employ.

@MommaC - agree with your comment. Although unqualified, they were at least making a contribution. Now what about the unqualified and incompetent cadres that are stuffing up everything from health, policing to social services - he obviously has no concerns there.

_____________________________________________________________________

You ungrateful donkey!! These teachers were teaching under a tree for no pay so that those kids could have some form of education. The so called department of education failed these kids for half a year and finally a company donates classes and not the govt and you have the audacity to be snobbish.
These teachers must be given a chance to get qualified as they clearly show passion for teaching rather than the good for nothing teachers being employed.

you are such an arrogant leech Mr Kgomo. It was better to say,"as the department we will engage with the MEC of Education and see if we cannot find ways of helping those unqualified teachers get proper qualifications and possibly absorb them into the system in near future",that for me would have been better.

How many many pupils in this school, thats what I always suspected that the media is always misinforming, misleading us about these pupils learning under trees. The department cannt built schools for a population that can be transported to the nearest schools. It is so sad that this is done by what we call call professionals /elites in this country who go around blaming the government of the ANC instead of advising the affected community to get busses to transport the pupils to the nearest schools.

Some of these profesionals they go on rantings about politicians yet when they are given jobs tehy are dissapointing, Im referring to Prince Mashele and more

Upon that , I often drive between Magudu and Vryheid in KZN it is suprising that children can walk +- 10kms to the schools yet we see w.hite farmers driving bakkies cannt lifts the poor pupils, why, is it they want these pupils to quit schools in order to work for them as cheap laboures

We dont build schools for the sake of building, the children must make the quota of the classroom, in that sense , if they dont make the quota , the department must provide busses to take them to the nearest schools, are you happy to see 11 pupils in a class

In business term , a feasibility study is conducted before any major infrastructure is effected, to me you prove a point you know nothing about feasibility study, plan before you act. That is the point Zuma with Gr3 will lead this country because the so called educated people cannt think critically, you have qualifications but your thinking is below average

...the riches of a country lies not in the natural resources it may have, but in the quality of their inhabitants, and therefore the government they chose...

..African countries and Third World countries in general are dominated by small groups of cynical, overambitious and absolutely corrupt individuals......reminders of an absolutist tyranny, because they learned their ways very well, and since they don't have any scruples at all, they don't hesitate to apply it to their own people. Somebody has to fill the vacuum of power left by the apartheid, and the ANC fit perfectly in their new role of oppressors.....

Oppressors do not need education. This is a gift reserved only for the new (ANC) Lords and their families, in order to keep that absolute control over the rest of "peasants".......

I grew up in Ingwavuma and always went down to Kosi and Black Rock. In those days it was thick sand roads. Along the Makathini Flats elephants roamed freely between Sihangwane Store and Phelindaba Store (which still operates today)

These days I spend a lot of time overseas but when I go over Jozini and look out over the flats towards the sea.....then that's home for me!!!!

I am not surprised as Section27 company is calling for the firing of all Department of education personel in Limpopo, they are disrespectful and arrogant, how do you not recognise people who worked tirelessly without pay, yes they are not qualified but meet them halfway, help them to register and study for future consideration. Good work un qualified Teachers, God will Bless you and something BIG will come your way.

Your comment regarding the white farmers is stupid and racially biased intend to create hatred towards the farmers

1 – if those farmers give a lift to those children, they become personally liable for anything that happens to them while they are on the vehicle. Kids often do stupid things when riding on bakkies, I know I did. So why would the farmer risk that? Also can you imagine how this farmer would be crucified in the press if something did happen to a child that he was transporting?

2 – If he is caught transporting them by the traffic police, he will face a hefty fine as he does not have a PDP and the vehicle is unsafe for transporting children

So why would the farmer court all these risks?

I am sure that there are also plenty of other vehicles that drive the road why don’t they help?

Why don’t the taxis that use the road provide free transport to the children?

Though what you are saying makes sense, however I would like to say, "I was taught Matric Maths and Physics by someone(Iet me call him Mr X) who was not a teacher. The guy was just super. He was way more than my Physics and Maths teachers". He volunteered to assist a certain group of students and during the year his afternoon classes and winter classes grow very big as we came from different schools. Our matric teacher was just useless to say the least. That woman was just lazy and told us that nobody is going to get 100% in her tests. We (Mr X students) used to get 100% in her tests and she deliberately marked a correct sum with a wrong just to keep her word that no one would get 100% in her tests.

Thats why i said Teaching is a calling, your Ex- teacher had no calling for teaching, she didnt have the skill to teach. Was also in a similar situation where i had a lazy teacher, but got extra lessons from former teacher.... I doubt if Dandan went to school, how i hope his kids will grow to be person person's than he is.
