A report-back on the Limpopo textbooks issue had not been handed to Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga by Sunday afternoon, her department said.
Department spokesman Panyaza Lesufi said the report, by Mary Metcalfe, had not been received by 2.30pm. It was not known what time the report would be received.
On Friday Metcalfe handed over a draft report to the department and to Section 27.
The two had until 6pm on Saturday to send their comments.
Metcalfe was expected to send her final report to both parties yesterday and it would be made public today.
Metcalfe's task team was established to look into the delivery of textbooks in Limpopo where some pupils were without learning material seven months into the school year.

Angie Motshekga, woman who called people dogs and all sorts of derogatory names back in 2008-9 is now faced with egg on her no so beautiful face after this debacle. The buck stops with her as Basic Education Minister. Education in Mzansi has literally gone to the dogs, thank to the gross incompetence running in her department.
That crisis should be considered a crime against humanity and she should be held fully accountable. there is no excuse for allowing children to go more than 6 months without learning material.

Why she is still minister is beyond me,because this textbook debacle is a reflection of the fact that she is not fit to hold office, and Zuma remaining mum is also very questionable, when he as a leader, should have taken steps to bring the responsible parties to book--even if it meant axing them, including Angie.Report Abuse
