I once saw policemen stopping a car at night,. They followed it and then stopped it, but they parked in front of that car (Mistake no.1), they then got out of the van and approached the car walking slowly, their guns fasten in their hoists (Mistaken no.2). The occupants of the car could have shot and/or rammed at the police officers and sped away.
Sometimes our police officers don't follow safety precautions. You don't park in front of the car you are pulling over ! Especially at night. Your hand must be on your hoist for incase you are being fired upon ! Sometimes our police get killed or injured because of their own stupidity. Report Abuse

Since the death of Jacobus Herculaas de la Rey at a stupid roadblock I have learned to stay away from roadblocks. Sober, insane or drunk I stay far away from roadblocks. The one amazing thing is that I have heard from breaking news is that roadblocks can follow you, especially when you have had enough to drink. So, from now on I am also going to avoid questioning people driving Toyota Ventures. Their passengers are trigger-happy. Pass me that Hansa over there. Roadblocks 2-0 ‘General’ de la Rey Report Abuse

@Sabza. You're damn right boy. I once stooped a tinted car with my colleague who joined the police during those days. I asked to search the car and they agreed but as i was busy searching i saw my colleague, whom i last saw standing guard on the occupants, started searching. After realizing his almost fatal mistake i stopped searching the car and let him take over.
I was so shocked by his stupidity. Imagine if those guys were tsotsis. Report Abuse
