That he considers himself absolved because "he did not know" is an insult to our intelligence. If someone starts building a wall around my home surely I will want to know who is paying for it.

That explains why the minister was reluctant to suspend that dangerous Mdluli character. He knew he benefited from the secret sluch fund as well. He must be suspended with immetiate effect...bloody fool.

Classic politician's strategy or rather shenanigans, 1st deny having any knowledge of corruption, when caught out, deny being corrupt, when caught out, deny having been involved in the said corrupt activity, when caught out, plead ignorance (e.g. I did not read the documents), when caught out, say it’s a smear campaign aka sabotage aka third or dark force aka the media aka western imperialists , when caught out, accuse members of your own party of seeking to destroy your "good name" (debatable), when caught out, if you fall in favour with the master get yourself a re-shuffle/redeployment if not and about to face prison, fake a chronic illness. That’s the M.O.

Nombembe said on Friday he however found no evidence that Mthethwa had been aware of the source of the funding and that the minister was therefore not implicated in a policy breach.

The entire government's civil service should be placed in administration. Auditors should step in and find out the state of our financial economy. We cannot go on like this, every week there is a story about govt ministers and civil servants being corrupt. The country's finances would be better off run by independent and accountable financial advisors. We need a Marshall Plan for SA

Lets not support political parties blindly coz these bling politicians are really profiting from our exaggerated loyalty!!!!

For a high ranking police official not to know what is going on around him demonstrates he is not suitable to do efficient police work. It appears he did not bother to inquire whether or not the wall being built around his premises would be have to be paid by him. How on earth did he qualify for his coshy job? People, please realise this man works for the party you voted into power, so don't get too upset. If you are not happy with the situation, vote for a different party in future.

I stand to be corrected on the exact amount but Ministers are given an amount of much less than R200-000 for all security upgrades at their private homes according to the PFMA and Ministerial Handbook. The Minister knows this, so shouldnt he have asked questions about this expensive wall. We are not idiots Minister, only your loyal ANC supporters.

Is he fit to be a Police Boss? the answer is No, so why Zuma is keeping him, where are the white people in this positions, you see this BEEEE thing is destroying the Country, look what is happening now, there is a lot of police crimes and no one can solve them, why, because police investigate themselves, something need to be done and very fast. Police need a realible person not Mthetwa, he is Zuma's relative, go investigate, from the same kraal.

Mara this bloody is insane. The fund was used but the man still says he feels vindicated?A wall is built at your own house and you say you don't know who's paying for it. The AG tried so much to paint a nice picture of this whole situation that he's making a fool of himself. I wont be suprised if the wall was built by prisoners themselves...NXXX

Till this corrupt criminal anc government has put the secrecy bill into our throat we still can, FORTUNATELY, rely on the efforts of our media and enjoy in this collapsing country: THE FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION.
We must help the media by informing them what we know and make efforts to remove the communist back riders in the anc government.

Yet, this anc is an amalgamation of idealists and rotten-criminals. We certainly must remove the last ones. Unfortunately today this can only be done by voting as the criminals are protected by zuma’s presidential immunity.

Refrain to cast your vote for the tripartite anc but vote for any other party. It is the only way we get the capitalist-communist criminals out of this once respected liberation movement.

To avoid more bloodshed and corruption, we must oblige, with our vote, the present anc to join a multi-party government. And only than we will be able in the future to vote for leaders we trust from a party that has no governmental power.

"There is no evidence that indicates that the minister knew that the wall was being erected using secret service funds." (Would like to hear Mdluli's version, if he (Mdluli) is sentenced for corruption)

How did this man reach top position of being in charge of the Police force? Where is the Minister of Finance to voice his concern of this farce, when repeatedly asking us to pay our taxes?
Government should pay their top brass the same salaries as the news reporters, because they are doing a far greater job and service than the government is to the public. Standard transport vehicles should be issued to staff. If they beg to differ, let them pay for the vehicles themselves and bear the maintenance bills of it themselves. It is ridiculous that most politicians drive 4x4's when driving mostly on good tarred roads. It would only warrant a difference for those who have to travel in rural areas frequently.

Mthethwa, you can fool your colleagues and family, but you cannot fool us, you are a deceiver of trust, and deserve punishment. How much more have you gotten away with your corruption? We now know your character as you have slipped up badly this time. I look forward to your deployment.

On what planet does anyone not know where the money to build a wall around his house came from and when has that ever been a valid defense? He should be fired for using that stupid defense in the first place. These ANC thieves have become so brazen it is disgusting!! I cannot be proud of my country and my fellow black leaders when they continue to steal from the mouths of the very people they pretend to represent and care about. I'm so disgusted right now I want to SCREAM. I said before Polokwane that Zuma and his thieving friends will destroy this country and they have totally exceeded my expectations. How we can allow our country to be run like this is beyond me...I'm starting to think we deserve these snakes because we have allowed them to carry on with no consequences. PEOPLE IT IS NOT TOO LATE, LET US TAKE BACK THIS COUNTRY FROM THESE THIEVING MORONS OR FACE THE SAME FATE AS EVERY OTHER AFRICAN COUNTRY.
