A man was crushed to death by an electric gate on a plot in Benoni, east of Johannesburg, paramedics said.
The 32-year-old was caught between the gate and a wall, ER24 spokeswoman Vanessa Jackson said.
The man's family called paramedics at 5.15am. They tried to save his life, but he died on the scene. Police were investigating.

How?Isn't there a law that makes all these gates (and garage doors) have pressure sensors in them? I am pretty sure they brought one out a couple of decades ago after a child was killed in the same way.
