after how many years this has been reported why now? the man should be responsible enough to differentiate who is his type....but at the same time 12 yr old child at te party? it really raises questions the girl might have laid to the guy say she is 18 yrs..... but things have changed now in court in case of rape...yes you will be charged but you have your rights unlike before where woman's were treatining man of rape even though they agreed in the morning tey just change manipulate the guy.

What kind of a parent lets a 12yr old go out with friends at night - kids word against the parents. And who is the tavern owner that lets children into his tavern unaccompanied. The girls sound like she is undisciplined but she is not to blame in this. All the adults involved here should be punished.

This guy should have had played parental role instead of giving himself to this poor young irresponsible lady. On other side I wonder how did her mom sleep without the 12 years old in the house. I also want to notify parents that the situation in the taverns is too difficult especially when we are both under control of holy liquid. It is not easy to ask ages when you managed to trap a fish. Sometimes we forget completely about the age since she is fit, look matured and well shaped with a big body. I would advice my cadres to pick a lady while they are sober to avoid circumstances like this or to come with their girlfriends.

@Fizo I am often amazed how men like you create excuses for rapists by blaming the victim, the fact of the matter now she was 12 at the time of rape and according to the laws in SA she is a minor so that makes Maphoso a pedophile who should sign a sex register, there is more than just one criminal here, the owner of the shebeen who should have seen to the minors that they leave the premises, question is were the minors served alcohol during the visit/stay?

Many a time young girls cry rape when they have spent the night away from home without permission in order to shift the blame and focus away from them. Unfortunately in their immature stupid minds they do not think about the long term consequences of their lies to their victim. Something doesn't add up in my mind about this story : Girl says "She is a strict person and I was scared she would beat me up if I told what had happened," , but
1. She argued with her.
2. She walked out of the house at night and went to a tavern.
3. She only came back the next morning, and there's no mention of whether she was beaten up for sleeping out or not ( that's if the mother is as strict as she is made out to be.)

"When we got closer to home, he grabbed me by the hand and said there was no need for me to go home."
1. Why did she not scream as she was closer to home and some of the neighbours would have probably heard that?
2. Where did she tell her mother she was when she got home?

I am not saying this guy didn't do it, but there is more to the story than meets the eye.
