i feel bad for the young lady. my her soul rest in peace. as for Mr Venter at-least he did a descent thing after all, but why hit and then run if it was not in purpose? hai ke

1. Most people who drive drunk or over the limit know that their case will be jeopardised completely if it is established at the scene that they were under the influence. Maybe Venter knew that he was over the limit.
2. Most people who struggle to get a driver's licence resort to drive without a licence. If they are found in an accident they know their goose is cooked.
3. Most people already know how dangerous our prisons are. There are any number of people who never survive their prison term because of the rapes coz they are recieved as fresh meat and huge are paid to officers to divert fresh meat to certain cells.
4. Some people are just 'shocked' into flight mode from an accident scene
There may be other reasons not listed above that cause people to flee from accident scenes, but there are lots of people who flee without them being guilty.

i get your point man. well he did himself a a favor by committing suicide , or maybe he saw that he made a mistake, maybe it was @ a red robot or he passed a stop sign. well he's dead no case anymore!
