A man handed himself to police on Thursday after stabbing a nurse at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital, Gauteng police said.
Warrant Officer Kay Makhubele said the 38-year-old man admitted to stabbing his girlfriend, a nurse, last month.
"The man said he followed his girlfriend into the hospital before stabbing her several times in one of the wards."
The woman, 32, was still in a critical condition. The man was expected to appear in the Protea Magistrate's Court on Friday on a charge of attempted murder.

Its wrong reporting , the reporting should say " A Man Stabbed his Cheating Girlfriend In Hospital " this sounds more close to what happened , then give the reason why the lady was stabbed , this has nothing to do with crime against medical staff , this is a love stiff between two lovers .Sowetan please come on

Sies man!Why do some men believe if a woman akuqoma she suddenly becomes your property?
No woman deserves to be violated for any reason, period. Can't men just get that in their heads!!!! As for @Bumboklaat asking what this woman has done, that is the question that suggests, there could be some justfication for killing a woman!

Novela said he and the nurse were in a “love relationship” although both of them were married. He said he had waited for the nurse at the hospital’s main entrance to talk to her. He became angry when he saw her driving into the hospital grounds with the man he said he knew to be her lover. The man and the nurse, he alleged, were involved in a plot to kidnap and murder him.- The Start/Pretoria News
