A man suspected of raping a 20-year-old woman was stoned to death at Magogoe Tar village near Mmabatho, North West police said.

Captain Amanda Funani said about 150 people tied a rope around the man’s neck on Wednesday afternoon and stoned him to death.

A woman, claiming to have been raped, pointed him out.

“The community members were accusing the victim of being cruel and making people around Magogoe live in fear.” 

Three people were later arrested in possession of a knobkerrie and a panga, which police suspect could have also been used to commit the murder.

The three would appear in Mmabatho Magistrate’s Court on Friday, where they were expected to face charges of conspiracy to commit murder.

Thanks to our poor justice system now communities r solving criminals themselves...
I see another page a killer just sentenced to 10 yrs for stalking and killing an innocent woman, and there's 90% chance he'll serve only half and be back after 5 yrs.. That's Mzansi for you!!!!

this country, is either we (man) are jailed or killed (i am not saying rape is ok) but a person is innocent until proven otherwise. u ladies u will be left alone in this world cause ur just claiming rape whenevr u feel regret for doing it with him. why dont go to police and report it? eaish ni a kwatisa and ni a rengisa nothe vhasadzi.
